I'm absolutely stunned

Crayton dropping that ball yesterday would be the equivalent of Alvin Harper dropping that long slant pass against the 49ers in 92.
No way. That was Cowboys/49ers man, whoever won that game was in the Super Bowl and was going to win it and everybody knew it. That was Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Emmit, Michael Irvin. This was a Cowboys team that was playing *****y ball for a month against half a average Giants team. How could you even compare the situations?

We should have beat the G-men but I'm not stunned. There were too many warning signs throughout the season--Buffalo, Detroit, Philly, and Washington. It was a good season but we have some work to do before we become a dominant team with real championship potential.

I woke up this morning feeling like Green Bay is next but instead it's the Giants on the TV and the cowboys packing up their lockers.

We are the 4th youngest team in the league, it was hard to believe all season that we were the best in the conference. I mean at start of the season I was thinking 11- 5 with the potential of doing better. This one is tough as a fan I really wanted that one and wanted to see GB again.

The cowboys will be back next year, this will serve as a live and learn lesson and proof that you must give it everything 100% of the plays for the whole game ( ie crayton).

I haven't slept right.

I've had this weird feeling..

I'm not sad or happy or anything.

Same here.

Its like im not paying attention to anything. Im just going through the motions trying not to think about it a whole lot.

Maybe I'm getting used to the early exits cuz I'm not feeling numb today - just shaking my head and repeating the same inner monologue...

"what was I thinking....?"

I am not really surprised that we lost though. Yeah, I'm just going through the motions too.

I give you about 2 days and that state of shock will turn into 'TOTALLY PISSED OFF'. It's a natural progression.

The way we were regressing in that game, even IF, let's say, Crayton didn't give up on that route, my reaction was..."So what?"-really, for a team that was so emotionally flat for a game of this BIG magnitude, I had my doubts with them against GB next week anyways, whether or not TX Stadium was a house of horrors to Favre or not.

Unlike 1/2 of this board, I'm still a staunch Wade-supporter, and an even bigger Tony-supporter. What we NEED is one, big firey leader on D(like a Ray Lewis), which could be the missing link to prevent future Dec swoons.

Hey, hasn't everyone seen this coming for the last 6 weeks? This team is like a train that's been grinding to a long, slow stop. And like a train, you can't start n stop, nor turn them around quickly.

But Wade was clangin' the bell!
