I'm back to praise you guys yet again

Absolutely they did. You can play the what if game all day long. And if you had enough what ifs and had only lost by one score, it'd have some merit. That's not the case here. The Chargers were better and deserved the win.

Here's to us being better in February.

Who's playing the what if game? We beat ourselves, again, and they got the "w". Happens all the time.

If I were a Chargers fan, I'd be VERY worried about seeing the Cowboys in the SB.

After leading us virtually the whole game, at home, with a beatup roster? I'd think they'd be pretty comfortable about the rematch.

It's really not that difficult... IF we would've kicked a FG, instead of going for it on fourth down, we would've tied the game with :02 left... is that correct? Or if we don't miss a FG after the INT, it's the same scenerio... That is the definition of beating yourselves... If we score a TD on 4th and goal, then we likely have another W too... According to the scoreboard anyway. So how exactly didn't we beat ourselves?

If. Should. Would. But.

Funny how that works lol.

I live in Charger land... Funny, their not worried... Their team is hot but the charger bandwagon is very full of itself right now. One of my neighbors, who is a charger fan actually told me after the Saints game that Dallas can't run on them! Hello, ya they got a red zone stop which was huge... other than that, the Cowboys ran the ball down their throats! I only hope Dallas get's a chance to see them again in the post season! :bang2:

I think the Chargers have a great shot to make the SB. There weakness is their run D however.

What's funny is how you totally missed the point of the post. The "ifs" were used to point out how we did beat ourselves. They were very realistic possibilites... It's not as if I said "well, if we would have threw a 99 yd touchdown we would've won the game." I'm not saying that we deserved to win the game, but we did cost OURSELVES the chance to win the game with these plays...

I'd like another shot at them with a healthy dose of Felix and hopefully Ogletree running routes against their press coverage instead of Roy Williams. A man can wish, can't he?

Hello Big D faithful, I was perusing you're board and saw a thread praising my Chargers so I thought I'd start another to give you props for knocking off the previously undefeated Saints on their home turf.

I felt you guys matched up well against the Saints, primarily because I know the Chargers do and we did beat you last week so that also validates our victory. Because obviously a lot of people weren't giving us much credit for a December win in Dallas considering the circumstances.

Any of you guys get the feeling that the Saints and Vikings aren't going to go very far this year? I've been debating this with fellow Chargers fans and they seem to agree. Sure they only have four combined losses. But I'm starting to think that the NFC rep in the superbowl is going to be the Packers, Eagles or Cowboys...especially the latter two because of their offense and defense respectively.

Hope to see you guys again in early Feb....later.

Welcome back.

Man I want a rematch with you guys so bad. If we played again, I think we could take yall.

Maybe that rematch will happen in Feb if you guys can get there.:laugh2:

I still disagree with the 'cowboys beat themselves' stuff, but then again I'm a chargers fan so I'd probably say the same if ther roles were reversed.

Yeah, I always hate the "we beat ourselves" argument, even when it is ever so difficult not to use it.

I don't know that I buy the argument applying to the goal-line stand. That was mano-a-mano stuff where you simply beat us. It wasn't like we false started on first down, fumbled a snap on second down and had a delay on third.

And the missed field goal was an unforced error of sorts, but it happened in large part because your defense stiffened after Rivers threw the interception. If your defense folds there, we move down the field and maybe tie the game up. Instead, you give up like three yards on three plays and force an erratic kicker into a mid-range shot.

It's all part of the game, and the better team almost always wins. You all certainly were better that day, though I'd like to think the gap wasn't severe and that we're close to being in your "league."

Good luck the next few weeks.

Beat up roster? I'm pretty sure I saw jerseys with the names Sproles, Tomlinson, Rivers, Gates, Jackon, Floyd, Cromartie, Jammer and Merriman on the back of them out there.

They beat us by 3 points and held us at the inch line.

They can be as comfortable as they want, I'd love nothing but to take a ring from that little boy Rivers' finger.

If two of us wish together, maybe that'll help.

Believe.
