....that he'd miss UP TO FOUR WEEKS. NYG's game will be 3 weeks after the injury. The Washington game is 5 weeks after the injury.

I believe UP TO FOUR weeks means four weeks at most. Or perhaps less than four weeks such as maybe THREE!

Now I love me some Romo. And am confident in saying I am the biggest Romo fan on this board.

However, I have to say I will be disappointed in him if he does not play Sunday.

If he plays and we win, we will be back on a serious roll. In fact, with all the other players we expect back after the bye for the Commanders game, I sure as hell wouldn't bet against us taking the East.

At 5-3 we control our own destiny. We win out and we are the NFC East Champs. In fact we can actual lose a non-division game, finish 12-4 and are still guaranteed the NFC East Championship.

If we lose Sunday, it's not happening. We're battling for a wildcard.

Romo must play. There's no choice here.

to me even with romo we are playing for the sixth playoff spot. the giants are the best team in the nfc. i see them getting home field. the Commanders barring any key injuries are the going to win at least eleven wins. they are the first wild card. we are going to be fighting with green bay, chicago, eagles and the bucs for the last wild card. if our defense can get together we have a good chance. we do have four out five home games after these next two road game which i do not think we will win.
the second half is going to be tough for sure. i think giving away the rams game is going to hurts more than we know at the end of the season.

he is not going to play.

Especially after winning today, we can lose the giants game and still be ok if the team is healthy and plays well starting in washington.

It is way too risky to send him out there in a game where he is going to get hit repeatedly.

I dont think felix, witten, kosier will play either.

We are going to have to take our lumps sunday and hope this team can come together after the bye.

Did you watch him on TO's show?
He said that the Dr's originally said 6-8 weeks.
He is thinking it will be OK in 5 weeks.
You are cutting it down to 3 weeks.
I'm with the others, lets let him heal a little more, even at 5 he is pushing it.

I thought he already ruled himself out of the Giants game?

I'd love it if he was able to play and we pulled off a major W over the GMen but I just don't see him getting back until Washington.

If Flozell lets Kiwanuka rush like Starks did today, I wouldn't risk Tony's life like that. Maybe we should play Bollinger. He's more mobile than Brad.

If I were Romo, I'd be using TO's hyperbaric chamber(sp) every minute of every day.

If I were TO, after seeing what Brad Johnson has done to this offense, I'd club Romo over the head and lock him in there til he could grip the football.

This sucks, I'd hate to fall 3 games back of the Giants, but we can't risk Romo further injuring the finger.

Great show. Not sure you watched it because I know for a fact he never said it was a 6-8 week injury. In fact he never said anything remotely close to that. You are making **** up.
What he did say was that the team would rally around Brad for the next 2 weeks including the Giants game.
He also said at this point, that being last Tuesday, he was not expecting to play til the Washington game. He also made it known that that was not set in stone!

We have two brutal away games coming up with NYG, the bye, followed by the Commanders. The games against 49ers, Seahawks shouldn't pose a problem with Romo. But the Steelers, NYG, Baltimore, and the Eagles will be hard to get through without losing a game.

We don't get Romo back quick, I can see us losing both NYG and Commanders. We could also lose another against either the Steelers, NYG, or Philly. That'd drop down 9-7 or 8-8 quite easily.

We lost tremendous leverage in our quest to win the division or even make the playoffs by losing to Arizona and St Louis. We need Romo back not later than the Commanders game.

You are wrong. I'd expect to beat the Giants with Romo.

I am ok with "battling" for a WC.

There is a choice. Romo should sit out.
Think about it... the Giants will bring it and be gunning for Romo. One good hit on that hand.. one good fall on that hand... and he is out for 2 months this time.... maybe out for season.

Your logic of "there's no choice" is silly. Your way is HIGH RISK.

That's the point. It's why I started this thread. How much risk can we be talking about?
This was supposed to be an up to 4 week injury. Playing in St Louis or today, I agree would probably be too risky.

But how much additional risk are we actually talking about with Romo playing in NY?
