I'm excited about this season

Im very high on Revels potential but we cant count on him till we see it on the field, consistently

I also love the Moore pick. Also, I know Bland had a couple down years, but then pick six against Washington tells me he's still capable of what he did in 2023. With the front 7 we've developed, I think he can go back to that. If QBs have less time to throw, then that gives Bland more opportunities for picks.

And this is in large part why I am so excited about the dline we have now and Olbs. I think our front 7 (especially if we can get one more LB) is going to be so good (along with Downs) that our CBs should have a lot more freedom to play to their strengths. That can only help our defence, especially since we look much more capable of stopping the run. And an improved defence should give us much more short fields. I think part of the trouble we had last season was that we had so many long fields that an offense (as potent as it was) can only run so many new plays. If we can have a lot more shorter fields or reasonable field distances, then that should naturally improve our red zone abilities.

Are you seriously ignoring the other more prevalent side? I’ve been on here for about five years, not as member until recently, and there are way more and just as nasty. I can completely understand the negativity, but it’s taken way too far at times and by too many members, at least compared to the overly positive ones. Those few make it nearly impossible to say a single thing positive without being attacked. I don’t like the always rainbows and sunshine but it sure beats the other way.

As to the topic of the thread. I am noticing that they seem to be trying and seem to have a bigger picture concept in how to focus their efforts. That's a positive change. Still a lot more to prove.

I didn’t expect it to be done in one year. I’m completely satisfied up to this point and hope it continues into next season.

Have you thought about ignoring the attacks? I don’t know who started it, I seem to remember that you weren’t so attack prone, but let it go and I think it should get better.

I try not to ignore folks but I do have some on my list.
 
I will never be “excited” for another season with the standard cast of characters running the show. It will always be a wait and see approach until proven otherwise for many years—at least ten.
