Started yesterday with my stomach doing backflips, continued last night with my lack of sleep and went further this morning with me having to keep myself from jumping up and down in anticipation.

This game is huge. I have a feeling it won't be close.

Whoever wins this one is going to run away with it, mark my words. I don't know if I could stand being blown out by the Commanders.

We have to go out and dominate both sides of the ball. We need to show this league that we are for real and it has to start tonight.

So I'm going to try and contain my excitement and continue with my day, and hopefully tonight we'll come out and show the Commanders why we're the better franchise, better fanbase and better team.

GO COWBOYS!!

Tonight's game is really important. In a highly mediocre NFC, a 2-0 start with San Francisco on deck would be a HUGE beginning to the season. A loss doesn't exactly end the season two weeks in, but 1-1 merely puts us back with the rest of the pack, where as a 2-0 start -- and potentially a 3-0 start if we could string back-to-back performances -- would really give us a leg up.

It all starts with tonight. I think we'll see a lot of the team's integrity tonight. It's going to be an emotional evening with, hopefully, an energized crowd if the team gives them anything to be excited about. There's no reason, in that sense, to lay an egg on national television against a mediocre Washington team.

Exactly right. A win tonight means that we will go into that Philadelphia game at 4-0 or 3-1. Anyone who watched any of the 49ers game last week knows that we might as well have a bye week after this one. They managed to beat the Rams because of two special teams touchdowns and a few lucky breaks.

If we are a good team hoping for contention then we have to win the next two games. No ifs, and or buts.

And I hope Parcells gets that through the minds of the players.

That's why I really think tonight's game is so important.

Washington isn't a pushover. They're not a particularly good team, but -- if last season was any indication -- they make you fight tooth and nail. I doubt they fold for tonight's game.

But from our perspective, not of that matters. Good teams win games like this. The Cowboys looked like a possible good team in the making last week, but a loss tonight negates much of that.

The Cowboys of '03 started the season 1-1, with a horrendous loss to Atlanta. We can lose tonight and still have a quality season, but it'd definitely make me bring the expectations back down a notch.

Legitimate playoff contenders should win this game. It'll be interesting to see which team emerges.

TS, I know you're excited, but you know how dangerous it is to anticipate wins before they hatch (or something like that). We thought we owned the Falcons, and that we'd easily win with our "A" game ...well the rest is now history.

You keep your eyes out for those Skins tonight and I wouldn't put up the "W" with the 49ers yet either. The 49ers are going to be as mad as a hornets nest on a windy day if they lose two-games in a row.

I could really care less who wins the wild wild west show tonight -- but I've got a really gut feeling that something is not going to be warm peaches and cream.

Now as far as when you meet up with the Eagles, it doesn't matter whether you're 3-1 or 4-0 ...actually we'd prefer 4-0! The Eagles have already eaten humble pie with a side dish of crow. We're ready to play that game in rain or snow ...and we're in the game for 60 minutes! You'd better bring Michael Vick with you, or slap the crap out of Trotter before the game starts. Otherwise you'd better bring everything you've got -- you'll need it!

Good hunting.;)

Good point but the 49ers are not the Falcons :)

PT Quote: True, but they are an NFL team ..."on any given week..."

PT Quote: I get your drift. Let's see how the "might cowboys" do against the push-over 49ers next week.

Remember ...we lost to the 2004 NFC Champion runnerups by just a few points that could have gone the other way if Aikers had made those twoo field goals. Not to mention our star run stopper (Trotter) being expelled from the game erroneously.

So please do take our win lightly and come into it with that same premise --
we'll have soemthing for ya!;)

I spend entirely way too much time on Extreme Skins... I've never been so nervous before a game. I'm also down 23 points in my fantasy matchup but I've got Bledsoe, Witten, JJ and the Cowboys D to play to tonight (which should be a lock) which only adds to the nerves factor. It's not a scared nervous.. just a .. I can't take all this time before kickoff nervous.. I need to see some hits to relax me.. you would swear I'm playing tonight! I don't think my heart can take another SD type of ending.

We all know that feeling! While I certainly believe you have faith in your team, it also sounds like you have a gt feeling about something.

Anyway, good hunting ...win or lose!

All figured out. Why do you think we brought Ogbogu back. He'll walk up to Trott, chant "We must protect this house!" a couple times and wham! Double ejections!

Am I a homer when it comes to the Cowboys? Obviously. But in spite of this, I also think I can take a realistic view of situations and can see weaknesses which must be addressed by this team. However, even with the memory of the Miami Thanksgiving debacle 2 years ago still in my mind, I simply do not see any way this team should lose to the Commanders. The Commanders are simply too limited on O and in pass-D. Absent a ST breakdown, I see a Cowboys W.

I gotta tell you guys, I love these games. I'm really excited about tonight. I've been giddy all day. Monday Night Football against the Cowboys is as good as it gets in the regular season. Especially right now when a win against you effers would mean so much to us. Hopefully we can pull this one out.

Listen, your boys could very well pull this off. The Skins confidence level is surging off the hook, you're healthy, Arrington is back, and Brunell is throwing the ball well. Minus turnovers, and penalties, the Commanders could surprise Dallas tonight.

I'm not saying that's going to happen, because you still have to deal with a good Cowboys defense, but if their running game is not on -- it's over. Because KeShawn would be rendered one-dimensional.

Quite frankly, I don't care who wins, but I know it's shaping up to be an exciting game.

I know how it goes PT.... our team wins- we shoot the bull....
our team loses - we shoot ourselves.... I didn't see you as much last week and I was very active on the board.

I realize we play the 9ers but I can guarantee you I won't be posting any more or any less if we lose. Get the picture?

Congrats on the "w" yesterday....... whoop-de-friggin-dooo... the 9ers
