I'm Glad T.Y. Hilton Signed with the Cowboys, not Bucs

I'm pretty sure T.Y. would have also been a great fit for the Bucs, and I thought they were looking for WR help after Beasley walked on them, and Julio was kind of banged up for a while.

On the other hand, when we played the Bucs the first time, we didn't have Hilton and Gallup was out. So if we do play the Bucs, I feel like T.Y., and Gallup, gives us much better odds against Tom Baby and his gang.

I just got through watching some videos of his route-running/highlight videos, and he truly adds a new dynamic to this offense that makes us a much more difficult opponent to contend with.

And I'll go ahead and say it: T.Y. > OBJ.

I posted about going after him (or Will Fuller, who retired) in week 4. It turns out, he wanted to be with his family, and at his kids' football games, which I respect.

He came in in game shape, though. From what I can tell, dude hasn't lost a step.

Totally agree on extending him. I'd consider the same for Peters, too, actually, if he can have a productive offseason. And if not, I'd consider him as an oline coach.

Love these two vet moves we made.

I think Stephen is as surprised as anyone this season has turned the way it has. Mike and company can coach when those two stooges get out of the way. My hope is we win it all this year and Mike and company including McClay get all the props. They deserve it.

TY has big play ability. He's averaging over 20 yards of reception although I do expect that average to come down. What I really like is that four out of his five receptions have been for first downs. He keeps the chains moving.

Good point about our offense against the Bucs. We didn't have Hilton or Gallup, so we essentially were relying on Brown and, I believe, Dennis Houston. That's not much of a receiving corps despite the fact that Brown has done better than I expected of him this year.

You don't know what you are getting with a skill player that age coming off a year when he had an injury. The wall hits different players at different points. So it could have been a wasted pickup, which is why you pay cheap prices. So far, it certainly looks like we got a bargain.

Maybe. We've got a small sample to go on right now, but it looks good so far.

Christian Kirk has nearly 80 catches for more than 1,000 yards, so I don't know if I'd consider Hilton a better signing. Possibly for the value, but again, we'll have to wait and see if that's true.

Hilton looks good. I find it so amusing that the Cowboys have done so well with the guys that they have signed this year and last year. I get a real kick out of the Maher signing.

Neither.

He was a pragmatic signing that gives your team another element/dimension and instantly upgrades your offense.

I'd say it's a value signing because you get an OBJ-type production without the OBJ pricetag and ego.
