I'm Glad T.Y. Hilton Signed with the Cowboys, not Bucs

By the way, I was doing a little research on T.Y.'s career stats, and comparing them to Amari Cooper's careers stats. And they are very similar.

T.Y. even has a 1,400 yard season under his belt, which is really stout.

I actually like Hilton much better than Cooper, in part due to the cost. But even if the cost were the same, what T.Y. brings as far as leadership and attitude makes him more valuable than Amari Cooper ever was, IMHO.

They've had very similar careers. But T.Y. has a higher ceiling...And by the looks of it, T.Y. has another 2-3 years left in the tank. Guy can still run.

T.Y. > Amari Cooper.

T.Y. Hilton

Amari Cooper

Just for fun/comparison, here are Michael My Favorite Player Gallup's career stats...If T.Y. continues playing here in the future, I think he helps Gallup stat-wise. If you cannot tell, I'm very excited about this pickup!

Michael Gallup

It was a fantastic signing. I loved that they brought him in. He was a stud in Indy. I get that he is older and has been injured, but he obviously still has skills to bring to the table and help this team out (3rd and 30 anybody).

That was a dagger.

Good point about our offense against the Bucs. We didn't have Hilton or Gallup, so we essentially were relying on Brown and, I believe, Dennis Houston. That's not much of a receiving corps despite the fact that Brown has done better than I expected of him this year.
and fresh and inexperienced NEW OL. also maybe KM learned to not run zeke 2-3 carries all 2nd half after he was at 5ypc in the first half..SMH.. hes using zeke/Polard a lot better now ..we are not the same team as game 1..

I'm pretty sure T.Y. would have also been a great fit for the Bucs, and I thought they were looking for WR help after Beasley walked on them, and Julio was kind of banged up for a while.

On the other hand, when we played the Bucs the first time, we didn't have Hilton and Gallup was out. So if we do play the Bucs, I feel like T.Y., and Gallup, gives us much better odds against Tom Baby and his gang.

I just got through watching some videos of his route-running/highlight videos, and he truly adds a new dynamic to this offense that makes us a much more difficult opponent to contend with.

And I'll go ahead and say it: T.Y. > OBJ.
The defense will decide the fate of this team,I don't trust the offense not to do something stupid at the most critical times, the bucs are gonna focus on the run and force dak to beat them and the last time we played the bucs, dak was bood off the field... we'll find out in a couple weeks...go Cowboys.

I believe Beasley walked because once Evens came off suspension and Godwin got healthy he wasn't going to see much playing time. Gage is contributing and Julio is healthy, so I'm not sure the Bucs would have seen Hilton as much of a priority. I imagine TY probably also saw more opportunity to contribute in Dallas than Tampa.

My point was that the types of WRs Brady has had the most success with in the past are the smaller, shifty types. So, I think T.Y. could have really helped up the Bucs offense, given how Brady has played with those types of receivers in the past.

I'm not saying T.Y. even talked to the Bucs. I don't think he did, although I could be wrong. I'm just saying I'm glad he came here, and not there where I believe he also could have made a big impact.
