After mo got drafted rumors were flying that Jenkins was being traded to Detroit. I'm so glad Jerry didn't pull the trigger.in a pass happy league you can never have enough good corners.

Parcells used to say he was in the business of collecting talent, not getting rid of it. Not sure why anyone would want to get rid of players that can play the game.

This... Let's extend the cat now if possible...

I agree, keep Jenkins. And add another pressure player up front, get the stud ILB's back, and watch what happens.

Jenkins will not re-sign with the Cowboys to be a 3rd CB.

He is going to go to a team where he can start even if that means taking a 1-year prove-it type of deal.

he played great sunday.

he looked great against the saints in 09. gonna need that again this week. when healthy, hes really good.

Me too, and I hope he stays. He made on heck of a tackle on Sanders (I believe). Went through the other receiver to get to him.

I would love to keep Jenkins and let Scandrick hit the street!

I don'tknow if we can trust Jenkins though and I bet Jerry does not either.

Jenkins is in a perfect role. I love him as the 3rd CB. Fits his playing style much better!

Its safe to say Jenkins and Spencer are gone due to salary cap constraints and what Cowboys are paying opposite side (Ware & Carr). What does Dallas get in draft for losing both players?

No way is Spencer gone and Dallas is not upside down in its cap like you may think. Spencer can get another FT if necessary, but I do believe he stays in Dallas.

Jenkins on the other hand will get a lot more offers outside of Dallas. Offers this club will not match and that will take Jenkins away to some other team to get PAID.

Also does Jenkins feel slighted after Mo was drafted? It is all on the money and how Jenkins feels after season is over.

jenkins has been very solid this year. his attitude has been great. he was painted as a malcontent in the offseason but he's always one of the first guys congratulating his teammates after they make a big play. is there anyway we can keep him and get rid of scandrick?

I would like to keep him but I do think in this day and age of salary caps you are forced to move on from players. Jenkins is going to want a starting role and the chance to get the big pay day. I'm not sure Dallas can keep him beyond this season. I would love to see him accept a deal that could keep him here I just highly doubt it will happen.

Spencer will stay and Jenkins will get paid big bucks elsewhere.

We need to use the Jenkins saving on another DT and/or OL in any case.

We wouldn't get anything until the 2014 draft, and if Spencer went and signed a monster contract somewhere we could potentially get a 3rd round pick. This would be contingent on us not signing any high profile free agent this offseason as well.

Players leaving in free agency that have netted 3rd roudners in the past include Nnamdi Asomugha, Julius Peppers, and Albert Haynesworth.

I like Scandrick a lot, I think he takes a lot of flack that isn't warranted. That being said I wish we could've payed Jenkins the money we gave to Scandrick.

I think Jenkins is more then capable of being a good slot corner. By all accounts he is a hard worker, and the guy is very talented. He may be a little passive when it comes to sticking his nose in there to make a tackle, but he's a very good corner and I think if given the time would be a better slot corner then Scandrick in time. Oh well.

He'll definitely end up leaving, he's too talented to not get any offers, especially with the need for corners around the league being at an all time high. And we'll be drafting another corner, probably in the 3rd or 4th round.
