in saying that to give up on Drew Henson at this point in his development would be a major mistake. Drew just needs time. Sometimes playing head games (for which Parcell is notorious) can be counterproductive. Now, I'm not saying that Parcells is actually playing head games with him, but if he is, I think he needs to back off and recognize that he is dealing with a very intelligent QB who just needs time. I believe that with time AND experience, things will come together for Henson.

If I'm wrong, I will take my beating like a man.

I'll go on record saying that any team with Henson as their starting QB will have a long losing year. I like the kid.....but he's not near ready to be an NFL starting QB.

Too much time away.

This is insane...So much attention for our no. 2 QB's!

I never said that he was "near ready to be an NFL starting QB". And I'm not trying to start a heated debate. I think I made my point fairly clear - Henson needs time AND experience. And for all those who are so down on Henson, there is no doubt in my mind that if he were released today he would easily have half a dozen teams knocking at his door within a week. Easily.

good post mrperfection. I think all Henson needs is some time. He has the talent. Last year when Romo was in his 2nd year he looked worse then Henson does right now. Romo made some big improvements and I think everyone is happy about that. Good chance Henson will make some big improvements to.

I just hope Parcells will find a way to get Henson in a few games for some clean up play time. It might not seem like a big deal to most but for Henson it WILL help him.

What will be funny is if Henson plays as good as us REAL believers in him think it will be funny to see how the haters in here will say they backed Henson and believed in him all along.

Of course it would be a mistake. We gave up a third round draft pick from this year to get him. To give him so little time to develop after not playing for 3 years is just plain crazy. Some QB's coming out of college need 3 years anyway. Add not playing for 3 years and I would almost be shocked if he were ready to step in and be a starter.

I'm DEFINITELY in that group and couldn't care less about rubbing it in someone else's face. Drew just needs time. He is a bright quarterback - with experience, his "innate" skills will take over.
