It's loser talk, and I'm aware. We lost, that's all that matters, and I'm sick over it. BUT
There are some things that I was impressed with. First things first, Dak is back and as good as ever. He played an incredible game with the run all but taken away / abandoned. I don't think we could have asked for a more definitive statement on his health, readiness or talent. Guy showed up.
Coop: I sure hope that fans stop trying to run this STUD out of town. He's a gamer, our number 1 receiver, and I hope he's here throughout his contract.
Defense: They're scrappy. They played a hell of a game against a dynamic offense and the GOAT. The takeaways, the stops, the HEART. They left it on the field. Came up short, but they did their part, and I will say that was an egregious non-call on Godwin.
OL: For no Zack, they did a phenomenal job. If it's the best guy in Tyron taking a penalty after getting beat by an elite DL, you gotta live with it. Overall though, supreme kudos and super encouraged
My biggest disappointments are Zuerlein (though he did somewhat redeem himself late) and McCarthy.
Just completely deflated by these two
On to next week, and if this team plays like they did tonight, the Chargers are in for a long day
