I'm not defending or making excuses. (OK, maybe I am. )

BUT, I wonder if some of it wasn't end of preseason letdown. The players pretty much know who's gonna make the team, so only a few were really having to fight for their spots. We've got a lot of vets, a lot of other teams (Pittsburgh, New England) barely played their starters if at all (Pittsburgh didn't at all)--I'm thinking our guys might have been taking it easy to not get hurt & to save their strength.

There were some positives (I said some). But, definitely enough mistakes for Parcells to really ride them for the next week on both sides of the ball. I do think we'll be a lot sharper when the season starts.

Stop and replay the downs and see the blocking don't look at it at regular speed. Look who makes the tackle. Sometimes its the 9th defensive man who runs up to the LOS.

oh, I'm not blaming the line. I actually saw Gurode get rush hard on this particular play but he took the hit and didn't budge after the inital rush. I was happy to see that as Al Johnson probably would've been on his rear. Just saying there guys just seemed to have a lil bit more energy or a different approach to this last game. I do think it the Vik's were just what the doctor ordered going into Jacksonville since the last two game were against 2 college teams..lol
