Im moving on to the 49ers

The best game I have ever been to is the 1992 NFC title game at the old Candlestick Park. I have been to.... probably the last 4 or 5 Cowboys Niners games. I live about 90 minutes from Levi Stadium, so the Niner rivalry runs deep in these parts. Somewhere we have a picture of our neighbor driving a big wheel to work because he lost a bet in the 1981 NFC title game.

For me, this is a special game. This game goes back to when I was but 11 years old.... further back for you old farts...lol This is the game where I will actually load up the suburban with the barbecue, generator, 50 inch tv and start tailgating as soon as the parking lot opens. So yea... Im moving on the the 49ers.

San Francisco is number two of only three NFL franchises I dislike. A win, even a one-point victory, would make my entire Sunday. Go Cowboys!

this is the toughest test for both teams. neither has faced any tough opponent.

and the chip is on cowboys shoulder. they have been beaten twice. Niners know that and they will be playing with more confidence. we are going to be pressing.

our offense inside redzone is struggling, so if we can't get over that hurdle quickly, its going to be a tough game

Yeah, outside of our division rivals. SF, Pittsburgh, and GB are my most hated teams. KC is getting there also. Well, I don't hate KC, but just tired of them, as I know a few arrogant fans of theirs.
Minnesota and Denver used to be up there, but now they don't bother me as much as 20 years ago.

agree...... but it is oh so good to have both of these teams be good at the same time. Only the playoffs could be better than Niners week. Not even our division rival games mean more to me than this.

I wish the Cowboys had the same team they had in 92. The Cowboys and 49ers were the two best teams in the entire league in 1992. That NFC title game was the real Super Bowl.

I still say a big part of the redzone issues is Mike's play calling. In 3 of our 4 games we have BLOWN the opponent out from the opening kickoff. So Mike gets down there and is super conservative to avoid a turnover. Even though a FG sucks in those situations, Mike knows that the FG is good enough to win the game. And remember, we play TO WIN THE GAME.

I still say a big part of the redzone issues is Mike's play calling. In 3 of our 4 games we have BLOWN the opponent out from the opening kickoff. So Mike gets down there and is super conservative to avoid a turnover. Even though a FG sucks in those situations, Mike knows that the FG is good enough to win the game. And remember, we play TO WIN THE GAME.

Lost in the red zone talk is that Dak is on pace for just 4 interceptions. So I think you’re right. It could also be mental as pointed out by San Fran’s very own Steve Young on the game analysis I saw recently. You can’t tell a quarterback don’t throw interceptions, and try to incorporate it intensely into the play calling because it just gets in his head. Packers had no issues in Red Zone when Coach Mac was calling plays for Aaron Rodgers. Just saying…..

As long as our Defense doesn’t collapse like they did against Arizona, I’m not sure it’s all that bad of a strategy, I just didn’t expect it to be bottom of the league.

But Mike wasnt worried about the league MVP messing up the game. They relied on Rodgers to WIN the games. They jumped on his back and rode him to a SB win. They are asking Dak to be that middle of the road guy. A guy that can lead you if you need him to light it up from time to time, but in blowouts, Mike absolutely has put the breaks on his play calling. Look at Cousins with the 99 yard pick 6 yesterday... Mike aint having that when we are already up by 17...... hes like give me that FG, we are good. Oh, and we cant cry about Dak not turning it over ... last year we were pissed with all the picks, now hes got those way down and we are mad he isnt throwing for 4 Tds and 330. Which do we think we be the best formula for wins in the playoffs?

I paid 150 bucks for endzone seats.

Back then, there was no online ticket purchases. So in the division game I looked in our local paper and found people that had sold tickets to the niners home divisional playoff game. As soon as I saw the Cowboys were going to the title game, I got on the phone and called that number and asked if they would be selling tickets to the title game. They said yes, and bam, I was on my way to Cowboys history. By the way, I took that picture of emmitt in that game. I hadnt a clue how to take pictures and look at that.... not the best in focus, but I lucked out and got an iconic play from that game.

For me it's the NFC East rival teams and then you have Pittsburgh Green Bay and San Francisco... All hated rivals all thorn in our sides as cowboy fans all the way back into the 70s...

The big game hurdle is the divisional round of the playoffs and matter who we're playing this game is not gonna change that we beat Green Bay in 2016 in the regular season and quite handedly and then lost to them in the playoffs so this isn't really that big a game it's a big game as far as it's too good teams playing and it's for bragging rights we need to beat them but it won't matter if we lose to them or someone else in the divisional round can we keep it grounded this is just another regular season game against a very good opponent that we hate most of us hate them..

agreed, but we still can't deny the fact that there is redzone struggles. it showed its ugly head against AZ, where in 5 trips we produced 6 points and a turn over. I am not like some, who want to singularly place blame on Dak, and drive TMZ drama for their own entertainment. He is part of it, but play design down in that area leaves a lot to be desired.

This game is important because of the implications for home field. The Cowboys have been good at home lately. So if we play them again in the playoffs, better to play them at AT&T

Also the confidence factor. This team needs to KNOW they can beat the 49ers. As it stands today they THINK they can beat them

No doubt Dak is a big part of any issues. He almost had a pick in the redzone yesterday, and the back shoulder fade to Lamb stunk.
