In spite of our choke job in the fourth quarter, I think this is going to be a pretty good team that will be in contention for a playoff spot. The defense looked great tonight outside of those two crushing plays in crunch time, and I expect we'll get the deep zone stuff fixed to prevent that from becoming a trend. The four-man pass rush isn't there yet, but it's improved over last year and will only get better as Ware, Canty and Spears get more experience. I'd like to see us move Henry and Newman around to negate the offense's best weapons, though. You can't leave your third-best corner on the opponent's best receiver.

Offensively, the pass protection was great, but the running game was non-existent. I feel like we should have taken more shots deep to take Washington out of the eight- and nine-man fronts, but that didn't happen. We've got to make Witten a more integral part of the game plan and not relegate him to the dump-off man on third downs. Still, we've got more offensive weapons now than at any point in years.

I'm chalking this loss up as a fluke, much like the win in Dallas over the Commanders last year. You can't really gauge the rest of the season based on what happened tonight, as much as the loss stings right now. And for those of you who are blaming Zimmer, find a new hobby. You obviously know nothing about this one.

Yeah pretty much a fluke like as you said the Commander game last year or the Monday Night game in Seattle.

I still think we're struggling getting an identity on defense and that will hurt us the most this year.

We should get better as the season progresses, however.

We might eek out a playoff birth, but it will be a wild card if anything.

This was a flukey as our win in the meadowlands 2 years a go. That one really boosted our season and sent the Giants into a tailspin.

This one is likely to have the same effect....

Struggling to find an identity? Based on what? Two bad plays by our safety? I really liked the technical improvement from DeMarcus Ware. He was killing us last week with bad technique but really held the point of attack well tonight. The line and secondary (those two plays aside) look solid to me.

Has anyone told the Patriots that their season is over?

We were winning 13-0 in the fourth!! There is no silver lining for this loss. We suck and will until Pracells is gone!!!! Good riddance, Fatass!!!!

Well they have Brady and we have Bledsoe. If I was a Pats fan, I wouldn't be worried.

It was a good game for the most part, but I am troubled by our Offense after this game.

This game and that one with the Giants are only comperable on team moral if you believe Bill Parcells is as likely to lose his team as the giants coach was. I personally don't think thats too likely. If we go down the tubes its not likely due to the outcome of this game.
