Funny, in this thread you were saying that Garrett didn't do a good job and that Marinelli and Linehan were the reasons for success.

We've endured Garret FAR FAR longer than we should have ...one season ...in which Lineman and Marinelli masterfully constructed does not earn Garrett a right of return.

Why do I get the feeling that if Marinelli had gone to Tampa you would be telling us all that Dallas was screwed without Marinelli?

I get you, I have a 1976 Gremlin and I went up against a Corvette he blew my doors off, asked a mechanic how to be able to beat that Vett and told me I needed a new, faster car because a Gremlin just will not win the race. Rod is a very good DC but just as I need a faster car to compete he needs the players to compete. He took a group of young and some castoffs from other teams and helped this team achieve a 12-4 record because without his defense making some big 4th qrt stops with sacks and turnovers we never even sniff the playoffs.

He's basic but as long as we have average talent i'd like to see them be simple on that side of the ball and make it about effort.

His defense compliments our offense very well.


If we had talent and smarts on that side of the ball then i'd want a coordinator that is more dynamic but as long as we got a bunch of jags just go with him.
