Call me crazy, but I woke up this morning with hope in this team for the off season. Jerry made comments about us being conflicted due to Dak's salary to add to this team. I'm not buying all the mumbo jumbo, I feel that we will be active in some way this off season.

This team is way over due for a big signing/trade to take place. I've heard Jerry make comments like this before, only for us to do the opposite. So let's ignore Jerry, and see what happens.

If nothing happens this off season, then we can later expect the usual from this team! Stay strong guys, and gals!!! Ignore Jerry!!
welcome to the club. now you get it. never believe Jerry. all he wants is your money.

Nobody listens to Jerry anymore except the media.

Jerry is more carnival barker than NFL football GM. He only runs his mouth because it brings attention to himself and the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas will continue its formula for mediocrity that’s been the status quo for decades; hinting at change, but in reality nothing happens…

This. He’s a shameless huckster and as a fan of his team I’m starting to feel like a helpless rube.

Absolutely. Actions over talk.

The Cowboys front office is hands down the most talkative in pro sports. They answer questions no one is asking. They talk even to the point of hurting their own team.

Perfect recent example: Stephen Jones last year talking about the team’s plans not including Amari Cooper. Stephen said publicly last year about this time how hard it would be to keep Coop. So when it was decided to trade Coop, a 5th rounder was the best trade bait they could get. If SJ had kept his mouth shut, maybe we could have earned a better trade than what we had to settle for.

Turns out, most pro sports organizations that are winning championships don’t talk that much during the off-season. Their actions speak for themselves.
Everyone else is playing poker to win, except this organization they are the clown at the table everyone watches to see what they will say/do next but never actually winning anything.

I like your poker analogy. The Jones boys aren’t playing poker. They’re just standing at the craps table with an unlimited amount of cash hoping they get lucky and roll boxcars. They think the last 27 years is just “bad luck” instead of bad management.

Don’t hold your breathe for change.

They likely lose Schultz, Vander Esch, Wilson, McGovern. Sell the comp pick angle and future cap spendings.

Convince themselves they find hall of famers with each pick in every round they select.

Has worked for him for more than 2 decades, why change?

It can't be bad management when you have the most valuable sporting franchise in the world, and the best QB since Tom Brady...

See bold above...that is exactly what will leave us all underwhelmed when FA is all said and done. I hate this organization more and more each day!

Jerry's in denial of being responsible for his own mistakes. He had the opportunity to refuse Dak's current contract years ago and failed to do so. The Cowboys FO has failed miserably to guard against their cap situation getting out of hand for decades now. They just can't face up to their own failures. Every player is disposed to getting all he can at contract time. Blaming Dak for the FO agreeing to his contract demands is ludicrous. The FO could've saved millions when that option presented itself. Instead, they knuckled under and agreed to pay what they now won't admit to. They're in denial.

When the owner becomes the team's spokesman you know you are listening to nothing more than a salesman peddling his wares.
