Unfortunately the Tampa game is a outlier and after 7 years we’ve seen Dak lay this egg 1 to many times in the post season.

He was great against Tampa. Can’t deny it.

He was absolute trash against San Fran. Can’t deny it.

Yet the facts show a completely different story. Dak has played very good to incredible in all playoff games save playing the #1 defense and the Niners 2 times.

People do not get that the Patriots were worn out by the SB; the pressure of being undefeated and everything else had them mentally tired. Then the Giants D hit them right in the mouth and kept Brady off balance all game long. then that helmet play; fact is to win a SB you need some luck.

The giants got it and we did not

It is true that 2007 was our best shot to get there; but Phillips was just not a good enough HC to get them over the hump. And we did not make the plays on D and O that day to make the difference.

Yep. The Tournament rarely indicates the best team in a given season. I've never been all that enamored with a SB win. I much preferred when the very few teams with the best record squared off and played in a "league or conference championship"- then a "World Championship game. The Divisional garbage is just that.

I am a Dak fan too but he has to be better. Those picks were inexcusable by his own admission. And some of the passes he missed were terrible, like the ball deep down the middle to Gallup that would have been huge if he threw it inside where he should have.

Dak showed us how good be can be against Tampa Bay and then at SF it was week 18 in Washington (almost) all over again. He needs to find consistency in the postseason and he needs to find it fast.

Again not throwing him under the bus but I cannot deny what I saw Sunday.

Your memory is garbage obviously. Dak in the playoffs has had 1 incredible game, 3 good games, 1 decent game and one stinker.

I don't know why people buy it anyway. Every player and coach with every team says similar things about the talent and potential and how hard they are working and preparing.

Most of it is the stock language they learn to safely say to the media, but sometimes they may even be sincere when they say those things, and sometimes it may be true/accurate.

But it's still just talk. Just words spoken to feed the fans something to keep and build their interest. It doesn't change anything on the field, it just keeps fans paying attention.

I'm entering my 61st year as a diehard fan. I can't remember ever being this discouraged.

I'm 48 years in and I feel the same way. 2 heartbreaking playoff losses to the 49ers has pretty much broken me. My discouragement and apathy are at an all time high.
