I'm not out on the division yet

I have seen that there are thoughts of conceding the division to Philly at this time. I'm not out on the division yet. I am NOT saying it's a for sure thing. Do not take this as me being "delusional". I'm just saying that I'm still holding out hope that we can still win this division. There is still very much a path for this IF we handle our business.

Firstly, this is the NFC East. Weird things happen, especially when someone wins the division the previous year. Remember when the Eagles seemingly had things locked up in 2023? They collapsed and imploded spectacularly.

Secondly, the Eagles seem primed for a collapse. I think, it Philly loses to Chicago, they very well may implode. Back to back losses with a coach who has a tendency to make some bafflingly dumb decisions? With the tension that's reportedly in their locker room? I think I smell an implosion coming.

All we have to do is tie them on wins (especially with our tie), and we should be good. We currently have a better division record than them. If the Eagles implode and we handle our business, who's to say that this division is over and done? It's not over until one of us clinches.

Stranger things have happened. The Eagles are really lucky to be 8-3. They were out played in several games that they pulled out. In fact our win Sunday was really the first time they lost a close one like that.
It will be interesting how they respond to Chicago. Short week, many injuries, coming off a very deflating loss, a bunch of finger pointing and infighting and a challenging opponent (Caleb is so slippery). A big win and they show they are the defending champs and last week was a blip (and maybe an eye opener). A loss though, man, could start a 2023 like collapse.

I remember that video of Devonta Smith after he caught a long TD pass a few weeks ago, yelling on the sidelines "just throw the freaking ball!".
I thought he was directing that to the OC, but now from what I've read about the unhappiness about Hurts that he was yelling at Hurts. He holds the ball WAY to long, screws around back there. Sometimes he scrambles and makes a play to get them out of it but sometimes he doesn't. Their WRs are pissed at Hurts playing hero ball, they want the ball. And that Oline, that was so good last year, is a shadow of it's former self. I've seen even Lane and Mialata getting beat regularly this year. Quon looks horrible too.

The middle of our Oline handled the middle of their D line. Their Edge guys are solid, but not great, so if you can keep that IDL in check and get rid of the ball fast (like Dak) even that vaunted D of theirs is beatable. They didn't adequately addressed CB2 and now it's biting them in the XXX, and their Offense is in tatters with Hurts being so indecisive.

I'm not saying it's likely they will collapse, but we will see how they respond to all this adversity.

Cowboys need to win the next 2 and eagles at least 1 of the next 2. Before I’m ready to think the division is a possibility.

I know you said not to say it but you sound a little delusional LOL

I think we're better chances even though it's like 12%, I believe, getting a second Wild Card game..

I mean Green Bay did that and then look what they did to us in 2023 as the 7th seed, which by the way is odd because isn't 2023 the year the Eagles imploded late ,we beat them late in the season, gave us the upper hand in a division?

So of course, it can happen,

but we're playing from a little bit different record than we were in 2023 when we did that but when you look at also Twenty eighteen started out exactly the same way3-5 after the trade for Amari, went 7-1 and made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs..

So yes ,

there's always a shot,

It just doesn't feel like that this year and I guess I really don't remember how I was feeling At that time in 2018, but I know I always had hope, then but, I guess it's a lot the same..

we'll see if they win against the Chiefs, all bets are off for me, I think I'll start leaning over to the delusional side, that'll be three games in a row, 2 quality opponents in a row...

Right now, I'm just happy to be watching better football and giving us a little bit of a snapshot for 2026...

The division is over. 2023 is not relevant because when Philly was 10-2, Dallas was right there at 8-4. That is not the scenario today

WC is the best bet if anything happens
The Bears and 49ers are thoroughly enjoying their “last place schedules” they earned last season. I believe the Cowboys are far better than those two, but they’ll both coast into the playoffs, nonetheless. Friday will indicate if Chicago is a contender or a pretender. I suspect it’s the latter, not the former.

You have to go undeafeated IMO to make the playoffs. If you do that I think you have a chance to win the division but more likely it gets you a wildcard. I don't think you get in with 1 more loss but its possible

It's not over but the Eagles would need to finish 3-3 or even 2-4 for a shot at the division. 3 of those games are against the Raiders and Commanders(2x). The rest against the Bears, Bill's, Chargers could go either way.

The eagles went from 10-1 to 11-6 that year. Losing 5 out of 6.

Dallas has to win out and have Philly go 3-3

They just have too much defense to lose 3 more imo

Exactly, Philly has been getting super lucky all season. At some point, it's going to run out. And it ran out when they played us.

Oh same that we are playing better, but I'm thinking we have a shot. And I'd appreciate it if the Eagles could please take my shoes out of their butts. And if we are going to have a chance, as I said, we have to take care of business on our end. But, if we do, Philly could very well implode.

The math will eventually decide things.

Win lose or draw i personally just want to see IMPROVEMENT and growth and good health with guys like Revell , Overshown and Carson, etc

Problem is Philly has Washington twice and the Raiders in their final 6. Winning out probably won’t win us the division. More likely that we get a wild card but it would still probably require winning out.

Washington isn't great, but you never know with division. Id say we have probably like a 3-5% chance at winning the division, but we have to take care of business either way.
