McCarthy doesn't want to touch the offense - whether it's due to Jerry's orders or if he just doesn't want that responsibility/added pressure, he will never use his power to override Kellen.

Who threw the bomb into tight coverage? There were other options on the play. The QB makes those decisions.

Thought to myself, why a bomb, all we need is enough yardage for a first down, and game is over......

Feels like someones ego got into the way with an “ ill show you play” instead of realizing just get the W

If true. That's why you need a OC to rein Dak in. Or even more important a HC.

Boy am I glad Jimmy got on the headset to Norv on 1/17/93 and said “we need points” with 4:22 left in the game before they dialed up 896 F Flat to Alvin Harper

And then Irvin decided to line up in Harper's spot on that play because that's the first read. Forcing Harper to line up in Irvin's spot and changing the coverage on the play. Aikman said he does not believe Irvin catches that slant because the 49ers would have defended it differently had Irvin been the receiver.

That was back when God liked us.

Not the same thing. Jimmy runs the ball on 3rd and 4 with just over a minute left to win the game. Emmitt and that Oline would of gotten 4 yards to close the game out. The 49er game-Jimmy knew the 49ers had an explosive offense and had a great play they knew would work for the first down. Slant to Harper which was supposed to go to Irvin but they lined up on the wrong side opposite the play. Norv Turner helped Aikman. No way does Moore help Dak. That's the difference. Norv throws a slant. Moore calls for a deep sideline pass. Norv calls it for his best WR. Not 3rd best. Moore should of figured out a play for Lamb. I don't care how many guys were on him. In that situation how many guys on Drew Pearson. How many guys on Michael Irvin? Problem was Kellen Moore inability to call a great play to win the game.

How many games are we going to lose because McFly Timeless conscious McCarthy don't make timely decisions in games. The throw Dak made to Noah Brown should of been a running play. Jimmy always said he got on the head phones and told Norv to run the ball. I mean-what is McFly during on the sidelines. We all know who Dak is. Why doesn't McFly? At times again! You have to save your quarterback from himself. The only int I blame on Dak was the first one. Again. You have to know that Dak the last few weeks have thrown int's in the very same spots-very same time in the games. Yet McFly doesn't play it safe and run it with a 10 point lead. 33 point's 2 int's. 22 of 30??? And you lose????? I seen nearly every quarterback have int's last night. Hurt's get 25 point's 2 int's and win! Dak has better numbers-more points, and he loses.

And now let me turn to overrated Quinn. The same man who blew a huge lead in the Super Bowl. Defense doesn't play physical. he continues to play man even though his personnel should be zone. You can't dial up blitz to get to Lawrence when you need it the most? "Come on,man" We will always see this bad movie ending until ole Skeletor hire a real coach. I'll call it now!!! I want Arian in here. he'll clean up all this drama Queen-entitlement going on in this locker room. But we know Skeletor isn't gonna go for that. So again, we'll watch the same ole movie. Ground Hog Day. One and out! We going to go down to Tampa. Brady going to get healthy on this defense. Then Brady will lose the following week when a real team exposes him. Speaking of exposing. How come Jacksonville exposed Barr. They seen him out there and tore a hole in him. They saw Boss man and tore a hole in him. Can you guys remember a game our coaches exposed anybody??????Besides themselves:facepalm: Man. I must be a glutton for pain. Being a Dallas Cowboy fan since Jimmy left. I won't even do a rant on Kellen Moore. He'll get you 30 plus point's but he'll also cost you the game late. For him? Moore is truly less in the end.
Take this to the bank, this team is so severely flawed that they're not going to win another game this season.......................

Actually it was meant for Irvin, but the primary receiver was on the right and Michael made Alvin change sides! Then the coverage showed the post was the right read so Aikman threw a dart and the rest is history. Michael tells that story with great happiness and a little irony.

I'm more worried about how flawed the coaching staff is. And the fact Philly wants to win Saturday so they can celebrate winning the division on our field:facepalm:

I am with you. not dismissing Dak's interception in regulation.... but coaches screwed this one too....starting with McCarthy not going for it when inside the 6....at that point he has to make a decision to go for it twice if he has to. get two yards each time. else you pin them inside their 5. at that point in the game their offense hadn't shown anything, so there was no reason not to go for it and pin them in.

then the stupid long pass play call from Moore. the idiot!

no situational football awareness

There actually werent other options on that play. There was no one to hand off too, and the 3 WRs were running vertical. Pollard and Schultz were blocking.

Receivers covered? Take the sack and make them use their last time out. Had Jax sold out against the run like before, there might have been a receiver wide open. There wasn't.

Throwing a ball up for grabs into tight coverage wasn't the option to take. At all.

This is on McCarthy, I mean McFly, PERIOD! It actually started in the 1st qtr. when we could have kicked a 58 yard FG with the best long distant kicker in the league but McFly instead decides to “try” to draw them offsides, which doesn’t work and we take a 5 yd. penalty taking us out of FG range! Then at the end when all you need to do is run the ball to at the least take away their last TO, we decide to go deep? :thumbdown:McFly says with his fat gut puffed up at the presser, “we were going for the win”!, Dak says his arm was hit on the first pick! There is no accountability! Unbelievable!

Yep...
And THIS is an accurate description of the current head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

All the Moore s**t is comical.
Fat boy should elbow him the hell outta the way and take charge. Ya know, like a Super Bowl winning 25 years plus play calling coach, no?
Freaking spineless jelly fish.
Campo level.

Take over or resign you freakin' cupcake yesman.
Pathetic.

McCarthy has to rein in Kellen Moore. Moore has to rein in Dak. Just my opinion -guys....You have yours...
McCarthy has to do more than let Air Coryell Jr run the offense. I think he should send him up to the press box and mute him when necessary. McCarthy is doing everything to enable Jerry to fire him with ease......maybe he wants to relax & still get direct deposit while the contract is running. He needs to establish that he has FINAL say on play calls or he simply enjoys the lame duck/yes man coaching.

Can you name a skill player that Kellen Moore's has made better, beyond his own talents, coming into the league?
Zeke? Pollard? Dak? CeeDee? Gallup? Brown? Shultz? Fehoko? Tolbert? Hendershot? Any one?

Thinking Mike McCarthy is a good coach is laughable…he road the back of Rogers to a Super Bowl…Green Bay won because of Rogers…

It's not the OC's job to make a player better per se, that is the job of the position coaches! But with that, are you telling us that Pollard, CeeDee, Shultz, Gallup etc. aren't getting enough touches because of Moore? Pollard & CeeDee in particular are getting far more touches and yards than in years previously & Gallup can't shine if he doesn't get any looks. Moore isn't the problem, it's Dak!

Slow down BKBDAD.....it is the job of the OC to have a scheme that can elevate the performance/enhance the skillset of the players and confuse the opponent, on more than a few occassions.

There was no mention of touches, but since you brooch the topic......a scheme......a good scheme will generate touches for the key players that need them or should have them. Gallup can't shine if he doesn't get any looks?..........that can be addressed on the sidelines for the next series.......and there were plenty of next series.

Moore is the problem, because Dak is a direct result of his work. Moore don't get to stand on the sidelines, hold a play card, pretend to be Sean McVay.......and then shrug his shoulders when something doesn't work on offense. Dak should get ripped for his mistakes, but regardless of salary........it don't include taking all the heat and Moore comes out clean everytime.

The scary thing about this is that the head coach is not taking any responsibility for that pivotal 3rd down play. I would think MM has the ultimate authority over play calling and could overrule the OC.
