mean really. Everytime they talk about him on ESPN. Everytime he is on the Dan Patrick show. Every chance he gets he defends him. Like T.O. is some kind of saint. This is the same man that disrespected the star. And when he did that he spit in the face of the cowboys legacy and to all the loyal diehard fans out there. Yet people like Irvin and all you people who defended him while it was in the process of him being here. Man I hate T.O. And I'm starting to really hate Irvin. He gets on my nerves sometimes. Thats probaly why he isn't in the hall.

I'll give Irvin credit for loyalty, perhaps he knows how easy it is to alientate T.O so he puts it on thick whenever he can.

Irvin defends all Cowboys, unlike Aikman..

It's good to have Irvin on Espn, especially with all the bashing the Cowboys get, we need Irvin to Protect the Star and he is doing exactly what any former Cowboy should do..

Tell me Mark u would rather Irvin bash TO and the Boyz or take up for him....

I might not like everything TO is doing but he is a Cowboy and there are millions of haters out there and we must speak up for or team and players............BTW he did score 3TDs last game. no matter how far they were they are Points and we need him and he is a great reciever point blank

So Irvin doesn't know what he's talking about? Did you see halftime of the Bears-Cards game? When all the anouncers were praising the Cards and writing off the Bearas it was Irvin who said "the game isn't over yet", implying that writing off hte Bears would be stupid. Wel Irvin was the only one of those announcers who was right. Irvin knows the game better than most, which is why he knew the Bears had a real shot to come back, as they did. And Irvin knows players better than most, especially at the WR position. So when he says T.O. is the best in the business, you best believe him. And, as Irvin use to say "you don't have to like it; jusst deal with it".

As Jerry Jones likes to say,"Did you enjoy those 3 super bowls",because if you did, just remember, that Irvin was a huge part of it.I may not agree with everything Irvin says, but he is a cowboy, and a very loyal and loved cowboy. You don't get that from other former cowboys on television, like Aikman and Moose Johnston.

The reasoning for the difference between how Irvin, Johnston and Aikman talk about the Cowboys is obvious, though.

Moose and Troy take themselves very seriously. They're out there trying to become top-of-the-line commentators. You don't get there by latching onto players and constantly standing up for your old team.

Irvin, on the other hand, strikes me as a guy who's just out there to have fun and stay around the game he loves. His smile and loveable personality -- along with knowledge -- are what makes him a hit. Take away his silliness and admitted bias and he's not the success he is. He's willing to take hits and make fun of himself -- just look at the grief he takes for his suits sometimes from the other analysts. Stick Irvin in ultra-serious mode and I think he'd get booted off the networks.

Moose and Troy, on the other hand, strike me as guys that are pretty hard to get to crack a smile during a broadcast. When Buck takes shots at Troy, he is usually quiet for a few minutes lol.

Everyone else at ESPN (and all other media) is AGAINST TO. Why not have ONE guy to defend him.

Whats the big deal?

Sorry, but I don't mind Irvin defending TO being that every chance one of the ESPN talking heads get, they bring up TO whether he has done something wrong or not, and in a very negative manner.

Irvin can relate in some respect. It's the nature of the beast.

The one thing that Aikman seems to do far too often though is in his attempts to not show favoratism to the Cowboys, he actually goes to the point of bashing them. I have a hard time recalling a game that he has called that his positive comments on the Cowboys actually number more than the negative ones... And then there is Joe Buck... I absolutely hate to hear his play by play. He always has had digs on the 'Boys, but now that #81 is on the roster its become even worse.

I thought I would pass out when Mike made Sherrell the # 1 & 2 Playmaker for the week. He really rubbed salt in the wounds of the Haters. By the way, the producers had to approve it. The Playmaker is fun.

By the way, I was channel surfing when Mike had a special moment with Mike Ditka during a Chicago segment. He told Ditka he was just playing. Berman game the Playmaker props. He said "Mike, you're really catching on to the TV thing." Can anybody give me a recap of what happened?

I think that may have been the section, did not catch it all, where they were comparing the ditka SB bears and the current bears with Lovie.

I think there was a question who is the better coach or which coach do you like better and the choice was Ditka or Lovie.

Irvin said Lovie because he is new school...did not catch all of what he was saying but Ditka clearly appeared angry over him chosing Lovie.

That was it. I caught the end of it. Whatever it was, Berman really liked it. I'm sure there was more to it also.
