I'm truly sick to my stomach over this loss and I'm dreading facing the Steelers fans tomorrow, but let's step back and look at this loss in perspective...
Did you notice when each team scored all of their points? Yes ... it was when they were going with the wind. That wind was such that it nearly eliminated any pass beyond five yards. I read on this board that Romo was erratic today. Compare his passes going with the wind vs. going against the wind ... they were considerably different. BOTH QBs looked bad throwing against that wind.
The Cowboys lost to a very good team in THEIR house, and this is a team that has a very big home team advantage.
So, what's the good news? There are several pieces...
1) The Falcons lost today to an NFC opponent, which means...
2) As of right now, the Cowboys are in the playoffs and control their own destiny.
2) The Eagles beat the Giants today, showing that this is not an unbeatable team. In fact, they're seriously hurting. Their best WR is suspended and their starting RB (the only one that scares me) is hurt. The Cowboys get the Giants next week in Dallas at a very good time.
3) The Commanders, as I'm typing this, are getting trounced by the Ravens.
