Yeah Yeah Yeah Dallas won the game.

However,
1) The Cowboys have a 2nd and Goal at the 4 yard line. Dallas is up by 3 with about 6 minutes to play.
2) Ezekiel Elliott have rushed for over 130 yards.
3) You have a mobile QB that has had success with the RPO.
4) The offense has TWO SHOTS to score from 4 yards out.

What does Garrett and Linehan do?
1) A terrible pass in the end zone to Swaim that gets tipped and lucky it was not picked off.
2) A BLEEPIN FADE TO A BASKETBALL PLAYER WHO WAS NEVER IN THE RHYTHM OF THE GAME AND THE BALL IS THREE FEET BEYOND HIS REACH!!!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!???

We all knew that Stafford was going to drive right down and score.

It is not just that.

It is drop by Austin in the end zone. That is a 4 point swing.
The block in the back by Elliott led to a Prescott sack taking away another 3 points.

Dallas left 11 points on the field

The Rico pass was one of the worst calls I've seen this staff make. And that's saying something
I honestly don't even think that was on the staff. Rico played that horribly for whatever reason. I hate to admit it.....but i'm slowly starting to understand why he doesn't get on the field much.......

It was a terrible pass in the endzone? Dak had a defender in his face, thus forced to throw it over the defender's outreached arms. It was a safe throw where only the TE had a chance to catch it, which the ball hit Jarwin in both hands but was coming a little too hot. Simply a tough incomplete pass.

That was a very dumb call. Just play straight up smash mouth football for god sake. I hate how this coaching staff put in these dumb plays that fools no one. Thats on Garrett and Linehan. Just make it simple stupid.

I’m not livid, overall we looked much improved on offense, including the play calling. On the other hand, I’m not as excited as some. We just beat a team that has one win which IMO had more to do with Patricias knowledge of the Pats then talent alone. Detroit was blown out by the JETS, got beat by the 49’ers and now us for a whopping record of 1-3. They have the worst run D in the league, had multiple injuries and penalties and were dumb for leaving us time on the clock to score.

We won a game we should have won, just like next week we should beat the hell out Houston and then things start to get real. Until then, I’m not getting too giddy about beating the bottom dwelling teams of the NFL.

Its not Rico's fault. Just a dumb play period.

Yeah I'm not so sure these were bad calls, although I can't remember a time when the Cowboys ran a read option inside the 10 and Dak failed to score a td.

Putting that out there as a 3rd down and goal play, relying on that guy to win that route, is highly questionable. It's not an easy play for an accomplished receiver and requires some degree of rapport with the QB.

Given the importance of that play's outcome, it was a head scratcher to be sure.

Lol, what’s funny is how many threads there have been all year telling us how dumb our coaches are for not using Rico in the Red Zone now they do and they’re getting roasted for it. Haha...good stuff.

It's what we do. We beat the bottom teams to get to 8-8. When this team starts beating the better teams I'll be more excited. It was nice to see Dak play better and Zeke finally get going but now I'm not so sure about the defense.
