I'm sold that we are trading away the 9th pick

I'm pretty much convinced that barring some unforeseen events we will not be staying put at 9..we are either moving up (Peterson-not as likely) or down (much more likely).

My best guess is the following..Dallas trades 9 to NE for 17 and 33..

Swap heyward or watkins or house or basically anyone for bradon harris and im on board . i love carimi and moore. moore just looks so smooth out there this guy is a true ballhawk IMO.

I think we like Smith..i buy that..I just get the feeling that wed rather move down and possibly still get smith (unlikely IMO) or just get a different player.

Again, this isn't what I'd do..I like the idea of Smith @ 9..I just have a really strong feeling we are moving down..Which probably means I'll be wrong..but this is my guess right now..The actual players I took in my mock were just a guess..Out of the 3, I'd say Harris @ 33 is most likely

I think they like Smith at 9 just enough to take him there.

Other than Tyron/Fairley or a PP trade up I think they would trade down. And go after a number of players 3-7 spots down. Carimi, Watt, Cam, Solder, Prince.

I dont think getting a 4th rounder back in a trade down is worth trading down if you have Tyron that highly rated(Very good starting tackle for 10 years)

I don't claim to be some insider but I've heard the pats are looking to trade up...Pats have enough dirty workers..they need playmakers

i disagree my friend . if julio jones is still on the board someone will want to jump the skins IMO.

Everyone has already talked about the rams but what about the pats?
They were exposed in the playoffs vs the jets . Yeah i know there overall offensive stats were impressive but the field shrinks in the playoffs and the dink and dunk doesnt always work. Julio is a phsyical beast that would bring a much needed toughness to there finesse receivers. Besides this is the reason you you stockpile picks to use as ammunition for elite players sort of like what should do for petey

Who would NE trade up to get, though? Why would they trade up?

I keep seeing mocks with Peterson at 7. Deion dropped. R. Woodson from Steelers dropped. Champ Bailey dropped. All were considered top guys. With him sitting 2 picks up I can see us making a move. Or maybe that is just hope. Moving down and getting NEs pick wouldn't hurt me though.

Exactly. And New England would get robbed in the process. They should be able to get the #6 pick in a trade up with those two picks.

Best thing for us to do is trade down to #18, and get a 1st and 2nd for it from San Diego.

If needed, trade down again at #29 with Chicago and get another 2nd in that one.

Then, we're looking at

#40
#50
#61
and our third round pick, #71

Try that mock out... A lot of talent to be had in that range. Solid starters with a chance to surprise.
