that's what the NFL gets for giving us so few games this year.

did the NFL all of a sudden fall out of love with the Cowboys? if so, you've made your own grave so lay in it.

in the last month, i've had to endure three horrific Chiefs games on primetime...two TYLER FREAKING PALKO GAMES!

i feel like the league has disrespected us this year. this new parity thing they are doing with primetime games is back firing. serves them right, don't ever bite the hand that feeds you.

nothing was wrong with having the Cowboys on primetime 5-7 times a year. the ratings were great, the games were fantastic, full of spice as jerry would say.

was this a deliberate move by the nfl/e!spn to position themselves where they are not too dependent on one team?

Do we not have the max # of prime time games is year? If not, it's close

Dallas has six primetime, nationally televised games on the schedule this year. That isnt counting the three late day games we have/will play that are shown everywhere except the local markets of the other late games.

The only difference between this year and past years is we often have more than one MNF football. However, we play three Sunday night games.

I'm not sure if this applies to other NFC east teams, or any other team in general.

But I know that one of the two matchups between the Cowboys and an NFC East rival is nationally televised.

Cowboys v Commanders was Monday night
Cowboys v Jets was Sunday
Cowboys v Eagles was Sunday
Cobows v Giants will be Sunday

We have the max number so I don't know what you're talking about...

Uh, what are you talking about? We have three Sunday night games - that's the maximum allowed. We have one Monday night game, same as we've had for the last 4 years. We have a Saturday night game in week 15. Plus, of course, Thanksgiving. We have the same number of prime time games we always do, and the maximum the league allows.

Not sure I understand your issue.

We played the Jets on Sun Nite, the Skins Mon Nite, the Eagles Sun Nite and the Dolphins on Thanksgiving.
We still have the Giants Sun Nite and the Bucs Sat on NFL Network scheduled.

Isn't that just about the max # of primetime games allowed?

Can you fault the networks for keeping one more primetime slot possibility for us availible if one of our season ending games against the Eagles or Giants have playoff implications?

If anything, I wish we had less. I hate having to wait to see our games. :laugh2:

Not me. I love having this franchise center stage. It's a very favorable cycle that will help them remain America's Team.

The more national games they have, the more opportunities young children will have to see them, become fans and dictate to the networks more primetime games for the Cowboys going forward. And on and on and on it goes.........:D

IDK I believe one of our last two are eligible to get flexed to Sunday night. I would think the league along with the networks set it up for just that scenario given either of the games have major playoff implications.

He is probably reacting to his home market. This year, the only Cowboys games I've gotten have been those national, but usually I get some of the network choice games. I've had years here in NE Georgia where I only missed 3-4 games the whole year. It seems like they're not on much because I've missed half the games. I chalk it up to Ryan and Newton. Apparently people want to watch the Panthers because of Cam....

so there is a max? do you know when this was put in? seems like a lot more 12 pm starts on fox. also we've drawn a lot of second/third team announcers this year.

I don't know when it was installed - it's been around forever.

We've had a lot of second/third team announcers the last few weeks because we've been playing also-rans. The first few weeks, that wasn't the case.

My only issue is the 12 pm games. I am in Houston and they always seem to play opposite of us at 12 pm, and so the Cowboys game is not shown. i think there are over 4 million people in Houston, I don't know why they won't show the Cowboys opposite of Houston on TV here, surely they could get some viewership even with the Boys playing.

NFL broadcast rules. If you're in a team's market, no game is shown on the other network when that team's game is on.

Sunday Night is the new Monday Night.

The league decision to allow the move from ABC to ESPN on Monday Night has been DISASTROUS for MNF. Monday Night Football used to be the marquee NFL game for the week. Now, it's like watching Hostra and Temple on ESPN 8 The Ocho.

Only NFLN games suck worse.

Stupid rule :) The Cowboys should be on every week, regardless of what the other 31 so called nfl teams are doing. Period.
