but Brad Johnson terrifies me. No the sky is not falling...but if Brad were at the helm for 2,3,4 games....yikes...standbye...

I understand alot of teams don't have the luxury of having a seasoned vet as the backup...but come on...Brad is showing his age.

Terrifying is a good word.

But as someone said earlier, he'll have the first string OL blocking for him.

He actually had a couple of decent passes. The one to Austin was good.

We'd have to completely change the playbook, with an extended time of Brad Johnson

I don't think Johnson is getting much protection from his OL; presume our OL starters out of the game and backups now in. .

Understand that in your scenario, Brad would be protected by Bigg and Flo instead of McQuisten and Marten.

He does not look good but put him behind our 1st team O line and he should have a little more time to throw (check downs)

Is that what happened in last years week 16 Commanders game, after Romo went out?

i feel a little more confident with bartels back there simply because the offense is less two dimensional...not saying bartels is good..but with brad he can throw well in short range...and the opposing defense knows it and can plan for it. At least bartels might stretch the field.

First team OT's or second team OT's it's not going to matter if Romo goes down for a while. We need a better backup QB. I'm not sold on Bartel either.

I think the Boys learned tonight that they HAVE to go get another viable backup... bluntly, if Romo goes down, their season is over, the way things are now...
