better than the 1st half for several reasons.

1. Ellis should be back in the mix (fingers crossed)

2. Spencer will be more seasoned. As Wade mentioned, it took Merriman about 4 games before he even started. Spencer should by mid-season have a much better feel for the game.

3. The defense will get more comfortable in Wade's scheme. I figure it will take a few games for the defense to start really gelling.

4. If we rest Newman for the first game or the first few games, he should be ready to go the rest of the season.

5. It just seems to me that the key veterans may be a bit better rested to start off the season. I'm not implying "Camp Cupcake" was in effect, but I think Wade let some of the vets get in the groove at a reasonable pace.

I'm hoping for a strong finish this year!

Thoughts?

Co-sign.

It's the only true way we'll know if we've made progress. December especially.

Without a doubt.

We have to shake off those end of season skids.

You would think with the talent we have on the field and the talent we have on the sidelines that should get better as the season goes on. Maybe not game by game but ULTIMATELY a real breakthrough. Maybe all of a sudden in ONE defining game. It could have been the Giants game or Colts game last year or even the Falcons game... but it wasnt.... try, try again!
