I'm very pessimistic. Calm Down.

Reading the board, you would think we lost the super bowl last night. Our DNP's VS. Chargers AT home.

3x more people out for us. One TD was given up by a DB who hasn't even had one practice or walkthrough with us.

Yea I'm in the realistic camp that knows the sky isn't falling after 1 PRESEASON game without 25 players most of them being starters. Some people so over dramatic.

over reacting about the overreacting. SMH not really needed, Most people knew what last night was, it wasnt a dress rehearsal and some players got the intro to the NFL game. Lets be clear about one thing aslt nite, it seems so far Garrett shouldnt be happy with himself. I have no problems with the players, that mistake on the sideline still keeps showing hes learning the game and all the nuances as he stands there and soaks up a paycheck. Really seemed like he could be directing, talking, interacting or getting the offesne or defense to do anything, He just stood on the sidelines less enthuzed than a fan who win a "stand on the sideline" prize. This is still his team and he needs to be doing some head coaching out there.

Good post. I am upset about our performance, but I'm not lamenting this as the end of our season. Lots of football in the PS to go. If we still suck after the third game, then I'll worry.

Seems like everybody's mad about his role of head coach. The guy doesn't call offensive plays anymore (most of us hoped for that,) doesn't call defensive plays.....So, what's he supposed to do? I don't need to see veins bursting out of his neck during a preseason game where most of his starters aren't playing. Seems like he was doing fine watching guys fight for their jobs.

Super Bowl? lol. The site would shut down if people posted like the team lost a championship game. No, really. Shut down, as in "Webpage is unavailable."

No, the level of negative reaction is fully inclusive of the fact it was a preseason game. Additionally, the same reaction includes knowing that players who performed poorly last night will not be on the Week 1 roster or slotted as starters. Nope. The reaction is based on equating a preseason defense composed of backups and street scrubs with the injury deficient, street scrub defense of last season. Based on that conlusion, some have decided the team will not field a competitive defense--which may be outfitted with healthy starters and the best backups available.

In short, people know it was a preseason game with players who will not see the inside of the regular season, but have already judged the 2014 defense as D.O.A.

My concern is that all camp long there have been reports that the Cowboys defensive linemen can't get off of their blocks. Last night showed me nothing to counter that point

I focus more on individual performances in these preseason games. I came away impressed with weeden, Ryan Williams, randle, street, Martin, ken bishop. I am very concerned with this defense. Our dline couldn't get any push. I thought the effort was there, just not the talent.

You have a defense coach who went 0-17 in the NFL. This defense will be ranked last and heads will fly. Of course the GM will stay in power.

That is why a roster spot is being saved for Josh Brent to play the One Tech.

lol. The Chargers didn't and I didn't.

The best of the current backups aren't disqualified simply due to pessimistic expectation.

The outcome of that game was meaningless.

That being said, the Cowboys are a bad team.
