Imagine if Manziel Becomes A Dallas Cowboy

k imagined it, is he bringing his o-line with him that gives him about 10 seconds to sit in the pocket & then takes off with the ball at the college level

The hate for people that are successful is so funny.

The kid is a FRESHMAN! See if he developed.

He won the Heisman as a Freshman!

I agree with this. It's only uphill from here for him. I'm dying to see that kid as a Cowboy.

It would depend on how long he stays and if he improves. If he stays for a couple more years and improves, I can see Jerry making a gutsy move for him like he praised the Commanders for RG3.

Doubt Johnny can imagine it. His O Line is much better at A&M.

prod

Sure looks nice anyways :wink2:

Manziel to the Cowboys is possible, but it's not probable.

Remember, Manziel could be in college for 3 more years if he wants to be.. that's a long time to wait for a QB that you might not even be able to draft anyways.

He's eligible to enter the draft after next season since he was a redshirt freshman this year, but I don't see him coming out that soon. I think he stays at least 2 more years. The Cowboys aren't waiting that long to draft a QB. They'll draft one this year or next to start developing behind Romo.

So, as much fun as it would be to have Johnny Heisman in Dallas, it's most likely not going to happen. But, crazier things have happened.

I actually think the fact that he's coming out later helps the chances. 2-3 more years of Romo and we'll be ready. By that time he'll be 35 or 36 I think.

I see no reason Manziel can't be a great pro. Take away the scrambling and you'll see he has adequate arm strength and pinpoint accuracy. The kid can make every throw there is to make and he's only a freshman. You're really going to tell me that Tannehill can get draft in the 1st and Manziel can't because of the 3 inch height difference? Because you can't argue that Tannehill does anything better as a QB than Manziel.

Ok rant over lol....Manziel has been my boy for a good 3 years now. Might be a little bit of bias, but Im sticking by my guns. Manziel will be great.

Not to be "that guy" but Tannehill is 6'5" and even though Manziel says he's 6 foot even, I'd say he's closer to 5'11". That's a big difference in height. But, I agree with your point. And his accuracy is pretty dang good thus far in his career and that's more important than arm strength.

he's got a lot of growing up to do. people just gravitate to success like moths to a flame. you succeed, you're a winner. you go through tough times, you suck.

i'm anxious to see how he does with his college career. NFL is a long ways away but people want "instant gratification" so they talk about the latest winner.

then roast him when they find he's not superman.

i hate the IGS.

To help his NFL prospects, I would like to see him sit in the pocket a bit more.

Replacing two OT's that will go in the first round is not an easy chore.

What's funny is he actually reminds me a lot of Tony Romo.

jerry would have to put a sheep pen in the parking lot.

I would rather draft a 6'5'' QB that is a pocket passer. The love for this kid on this board makes me think he is another Luck.

Even if they draft a QB this year, that wouldn't stop them. Commanders drafted Griffin and Cousins in the same draft. They'll end up flipping Kirk for a 1st at some point, I bet.
