Imagine if Romo was 0-18 on the road against winning teams. Then fumbled twice on the final drive.

The media is defending Stafford saying that he has to do too much, SMH. I really wish that play never happened :(

In Dallas? Romo could forget about getting benched... He would likely be executed.

You really think Romo would not get roasted at 26? How old was Tony in 2006 when he fumbled in Seattle? He was 26. How many still hold that game against him?

People hold that game against him because he hasn't had any post season success 8 years later. If the next season he had gotten us to the playoffs and maybe won a playoff game that game would've been forgotten.

I could here it already.
"The non call was just one play. Romo still had a chance to win the game but fumbled TWICE on a potential game winning drive."

"Romo couldn't move the team for the last three quarters. He chocked. Plain and simple."

Fans know, people know about Stafford and his propensity to, essentially, lose. You can just tell from that trolling the nation thread how many people were calling for a Lions collapse as early as the 1st. Sure enough, they choked.

Stafford is not good. He's only slightly above average because their offense has Calvin Johnson.

That's why I believe that Romo gets bashed so much.

1. Because he is a Cowboy and the spotlight is on him more.

2. There is just something about Romo that people don't like so his haters will jump on any mistake he makes.

If it were truly just about QB's getting it done in big games then we would see Stafford getting criticized this week.

Man if Romo went 0-18 vs winning teams some dallas native would have made a voodoo doll of him or something and shot it into space.

Would the media and all the internet sites and opposing NFL fans be screaming about the flag being picked up? Of course we know EVERYONE would be dogging Romo.

I think they would still be screaming, but maybe not as loud. Nobody really cares about the Detroit Lions. They've been pitiful for so long, they merely engender sympathy. There's a true love-hate relationship with the Dallas Cowboys. Besides, Dallas SELLS so the controversy is going to be magnified because it generates viewers, clicks, ratings. It comes with the territory of all things Dallas Cowboys.

So I don't get bent out of shape over it. I recognize it for what it is. If we weren't as popular as we are, we'd be quickly forgotten - like the Detroit Lions. :)

If he had that record, he wouldn't nearly get the same attention that he does.

The only reason he gets criticized like he's generally so good that his bad moments stand out. When, like Stafford, you have nothing but bad moments, they all seem less important.

I actually think Stafford is good with the potential to be great.

But Romo would be completely executed if he (and FAR more importantly, his team) had a road record like that vs winning teams.
I mean, we are talking about a guy who got killed by certain moronic fans last year after throwing for 500 yards and 5 TDs but then had his foot stepped on while throwing and sa a defender make a beautiful diving int on his pass. So yes, he would destroyed beyond recognition.

I will say this though, there are not many QBs (and teams) out there that have a very good record vs winning teams on the road. Really, very, very few even have a .500 record.
