Why? He'll get paid, and the second he flames out in the NFL, he'll get paid by a college to coach again. He might take a year off in there, but his notoriety will get him a job in the NCAA as soon as he wants one.

They're already a pretty high-paid tandem ... Garrett broke the bank when he was flirting with Baltimore before, remember?

As for Carroll, he's already flamed out in the pros ... that's how he ended up at USC in the first place. Some guys are meant to be pro coordinators OR college head coaches. Very few can succeed at both.
