With DeCastro @ Guard - Livings, Free, Smith,

Garrett mum on the position and I think they have plans to get this kid into camp and get him going at center.

He's a load, huge human being and a good pass blocker. It makes a lot of sense in the fact that Romo's smallish stature is often exposed by up the middle pressure.

I have NO whatsover about this. I think Callahan; an elite OL coach was on board with this as well.

Past few years the Cowboys OL was just simply too small, so we're brining in big bodies.

And I hate to break it to ya, but I think we go Tightend with our #2 and take the best blocker available.

Past few years or ol has been small? We've had some giants in Davis, Colombo, Gurode.

Don't mind him. He just woke up.

Smith & Free are average @ best , DeCosta small, Kosier nothing to rave about - we've gotten away from 330-345 LB'ers - Colombo was big but hobbled, Gurode not nearly as tough as his size said he shoulda been, was released after some very good years.

Tyron Smith is 'average'?

You do know that Smith was graded as one of the top RTs in the league last year right?

weight wise, pay attention , he's not a " big" tackle

What does weight have to do how the Cowboys use power runs, stretches, inside zones, or pass protection schemes?

The reason he had skeptics IS because of his size. Obviously he's proven his detractors wrong. However IMO Smith is a combo of finesse and power as opposed to Larry Allen.

Smith was overpowered a few times last year and struggled v Philly and 2nd v NYG .

Lets also not forget - Doug Free stunk out loud last season.

Weightwise, or not, I'd like to see the Cowboys field the best football team. I couldn't care less how they look in the showers or how they measure up to some cookie-cutter physical ideals (weight/height) you may be obsessing upon.

Mark Stepnoski was one of the best centers the Cowboys EVER HAD - often dominant. And he was diminutive compared to many of his opposing counterparts. But he had talent and understood leverage. Same with Tyron Smith at tackle.

I could care less how Tyron 'measures out' to any existing physical ideals - he is young, smart, driven and tenacious. He locks onto larger DLs and takes them right outta the play. His talent and heart eclipses other measurables.

Bigger DOESN'T mean better. It only means bigger. You might pay attention, too - 'size boy'.

The skeptism on Smith was because he was a little bit above 300 in college and if he were to pack on 20 lbs would that limit his mobility to play at the NFL level.

That was proved wrong obviously, however, Smith also put in alot of extra time with Houck improving his technique after practices in training camp. If you go to DC.com and watch some of the interviews of players in training camp you can watch Smith and Houck in the background practicing his pass sets.

As far as Smith being overpowered, it happens to everyone, but he was still the best lineman on our team hands down. Against Philly he got beat by spin moves because he would overextend his set to compensate for the wide 9 pass rush. He quickly figured that out the second meeting though.

So are you still trying to argue that our guys were getting beat because they weren't heavy enough? We have already been down that road and it was ugly too...

Kosier was never a "big" guy but he knew how to play with leverage and was a smart player. Pure weight has nothing to do with playing the position it is all about technique and hand usage.

Did you understand that Biff?

I blame the white helmit for his amnesia and confusion.

Don't forget his unfortunate accident:
