2nd: Oklahoma OT Phil Loadholt - 6'8" 343, 5.38 40
I'm on board with Hos on this one, Loadholt is a monster, he's looking very good dominating DEs in Senior Bowl drills, will need to be coached on how to slide laterally as he can be exposed wide, and it affects him on the whole in the passing game, as he can be beat inside by trying to cheat outside, will work behind Flozell, and will improve our goalline offense as 3rd OT
3rd: Alabama C Antoine Caldwell - 6'4" 307, 5.12 40
stout and powerful C who does a good job of anchoring and driving his man in the running game, Freshman All-American as a OG, lining up at RG some in Senior Bowl practices
4th: Cal OLB Zack Follett - 6'2" 231, 4.68 40
tenacious defender with a great burst to the ball/ballcarrier, reads the action very well, and hits like a truck
4th: Georgia DT Corvey Irvin - 6'3" 296, 5.06 40
JUCO transfer in '08 who was voted team captain, contributed 34 tackles and 23 QB pressures, looking good as a speed rusher in Senior Bowl workouts
5th: North Carolina WR Brandon Tate - 6'1" 195, 4.52 40
one of the nation's most electrifying players the 1st 6 games of '08 before tearing up his knee, averaged 21.7 yards on 45 touches as a receiver/runner/punt returner/kick returner
5th: Western Illinois OLB Jason Williams - 6'1" 241, 4.59 40
powerful, aggressive LB who does a great job of running with TEs down the seam in coverage, as well as sticking his nose in the action at the point of attack, forced an NCAA all-division, record-tying 14 fumbles
6th: Miami CB Bruce Johnson - 5'10" 182, 4.43 40
smooth, fast and incredibly quick DB, reminds me of Orlando Scandrick, as he's very physical at the line, and against the run, can play outside and in the slot, returns kicks
7th: Southern Cal DE Kyle Moore - 6'5" 265, 4.89 40
underrated USC defender with good initial quickness, has strong hands to punch away the OT to re-direct inside, displays good hustle down the field
7th: Fresno State QB Tom Brandstater - 6'5" 216, 4.8 40
raw QB with prototypical size, a good athlete, former safety in high school, has experience working out of the shotgun and under C, very good throwing on the run, esp. off the boot-leg
