and the competition
- In Canada, the August 8th WWE RAW had 345,000 viewers and the August 15th post-SummerSlam show had 525,000 viewers, which is a big number.a
- Below are recent WWE live attendance figures:

* RAW on August 19th in Regina drew 3,500 fans for $130,000.
* RAW on August 20th in Saskatoon drew 4,400 fans for $172,000.
* SmackDown on August 20th in Tacoma, Washington drew 4,000 fans for $120,000.

I guess that means the difference isn't as big as some of the WWEhomers on these forums would love us to think, I mean Huntsville, AL. is not known for its huge population, or huge wrestling fanbase... 3500 paying customers. I can't wait for iMPACT to be on the road weekly.

IMPACT on Thursday was up 20% to a 1.22. That was a ep taped 3 weeks ago. The rating next week for the show on the road will probably be 1.25 or better.

No word yet how many tickets were actually sold and how many were given for free/discounted prices in order to fill the arena, however.

:lmao2:

WCW part 2 ....... Eric and Hogan old trick.

Speaking of Hogan..I saw a spot online of him ogling his naked daughter's picture..she did some nude shots for some charity (?) and he was there for the "unveiling". She's just like dear old dad..anything for publicity.

Despite estimated poor attendance figures before the show (one estimate said that about 800 tickets were sold)

I knew there was more to this than was being let on in the OP.

PWInsider previously reported 800 tickets sold. It was not 800 tickets sold.

The first impact which had 4500 attendees and around 3500 tickets sold was reported to have less than 800.

Its a private company, all numbers that are before hand are simply speculation.

And all this is important because ??

Your endless quest to try to compare TNA to WWE?

3500 to 3500.

Some people like to make it seem like TNA is some garbage lol company, well if that's the case so is WWE.

Google for the first result, PWInsider released the speculative information via their elite subscription.

Atleast half of those tickets were sold, atleast... 1750. That's pretty good. I'd say more than that were sold.

Tickets for TNA events are really cheap, $10 gets you in.. $15-$25 gets you good seats. WWE is more expensive. TNA is a bargain.

I don't get why that bothers you..you yourself posted that you weren't going to watch WWE as long as Del Rio was champion....like whoever you like and don't worry about all the rest. And stay out of the "he's leaving" business...you are no good at that.

I was citing sources, and he did plan on leaving.

There were free tickets given to kids who had a TNA Action figure. Which is smart business for TNA, $20 for a figure that'll keep brandawareness for that kid high..

Tickets are less than that + mommy and daddy still had to buy tickets. Smart move. They promoted that in local high schools/middle schools.

When TNA announced they were finally taking Impact on the road on a consistent basis, I knew I had to make the three-hour trek from Atlanta to Huntsville to see the show. Having been to the Bizzarro World that Is the Impact Zone, I really felt like this was a huge chance for the company to see which wrestlers were over in front of a real wrestling crowd. And it didn’t disappoint.

We got there about an hour before the show and made our way into the Von Braun Center. By the way, I tweeted a bunch of pictures and one video during the show, so follow me @mattbaxendell and check my timeline for all of those updates.

Anyways, the usual live event staples of Don West hawking expensive guitars signed by Double J and a merchandise line that was ten people deep were all there, just everything was heightened by the size of the event. I was a little surprised to see that a good 75 percent of the arena was being used for the available seating, as they only used half of a similarly sized venue in Fayetteville, N.C.

My seats were on the floor, so I had a very good vantage point to figure out the available crowd on hand. By the time Jeremy Borash came out to introduce the announcers, the entire side opposite the main cameras (all the way up to the top of the arena) was full. The floor was obviously sold out on all sides, but the end zone of the arena was much smaller than you would expect. Even though it was full, there wasn’t the same capacity on that edge compared to Fayetteville.

The side where the hard camera was located had about 70 percent of the lower bowl filled, while the upper deck had three sections opened and they were about half full. My estimate in attendance was about 3,500 people, though that could go as high as 4,000. All in all, it was a nice crowd, though I did see a fair number of kids holding TNA action figures that earned them a free ticket to the show as part of a local promotion to get people at the arena on a school night.

Also of note, the Bound for Glory 'Tron from last year was still in use, though the third screen kept having issues. The show began with Hulk Hogan making his way to the ring and you knew we weren’t in Kansas anymore because the crowd actually booed him, unlike the tourists snapping pictures of him in Orlando.

He was never leaving..that is just the way it is whether you want to admit it or not. I could tell you how I know that but why bother? You believe it if you want. Like Hostile said you had a chance to say you were wrong and you chose otherwise. And I realize you live in the North but you can get action figures of all wrestlers down here at the dollar store...I think they cost maybe $5 bucks.

Around me action figures you have to go to Walmart or the Flea Market, either way it's atleast $12.. TNA ones are more money, since they just cameout. I wanted a AJ Styles one but $15 was past my price range.

He has said he planned on leaving, his friend said so. Every since news site said so. WWE 4 months ago was booking more pathetic programming than Sesame Street, if you want to believe they planned it for months and than aired the 2nd episode of the storyline on a taped July 4th, your just being fooled.

It was not a long term plan.
