He was never leaving but that's been discussed already and I will leave it at that....we all know you won't back down (Tom Petty wrote a great song about that very thing BTW) from your erroneous information/message board sources. You might be surprised by what some of us on here know....

and the competition

I guess that means the difference isn't as big as some of the WWEhomers on these forums would love us to think, I mean Huntsville, AL. is not known for its huge population, or huge wrestling fanbase... 3500 paying customers. I can't wait for iMPACT to be on the road weekly.

Really, who gives a bleep??

Around me action figures you have to go to Walmart or the Flea Market, either way it's atleast $12.. TNA ones are more money, since they just cameout. I wanted a AJ Styles one but $15 was past my price range.

You have got to be kidding me... what are you, 10??

He has said he planned on leaving, his friend said so. Every since news site said so.

What this might tell an intelligent reader is that those "news sites" aren't as clued in to the inside machinations at either WWE or TNA... they've just speculating...

But you don't seem to be able to figure that out... you'd stop making yourself look so foolish if you could... IOW, stop trying to predict where wrestling is going next, in either the WWE and the NWA, because only a select few really know, and they're not posting on websites...

It was not a long term plan.

And of course, Vince McMahon would have told you if it was... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

The NWA?

And pwinsider has broken a ton of news, most highly accurate.

Saying Hunstville, AL is not known for its wrestling fanbase is false.

Historically it's been one of the hot cities for southern wrestling promotions.

It's also got a population of 180K and a metropolitan population of over 400K. And you have Birmingham, Nashville and Chattanooga all within 2 hours (which is why it's been a place that southern wrestling promotions have cards at).

If you have never heard of Hunstville with regards to pro wrestling, then your knowledge of southern wrestling is poor. This was a very big city for southern pro wrestling for years. You had Mid South, CWA, USWA, NWA, Smoky Mountain and others all making consistent stops to Huntsville. As far as southern, non-Texas wrestling, I would say that it was one of the top drawing southern cities. Obviously, you had Atlanta, Charlotte, and Memphis. Then you had places like Greensboro, New Orleans, Macon, Nashville and Huntsville.

You are correct. He was never leaving, that was a work. A DJ friend of mine has so much inside info on wrestling it is not funny. He's friends with a lot of wrestlers he has interviewed. I asked him point blank and he says all of that was a work that has been months in the making. CM Punk's hints and allegations, etc. were all part of him working the gig.

In other words, all of the online wrestling sources were dead wrong and anyone who bought that he was actually leaving was a mark.

Well here's the deal.

1750 sold is still less, a lot less, than 4400 sold.

It doesn't matter that they had as many people there if they sold most of, or even half of, their tickets at half price or gave them away.

You still can't compare them to a show that is still not only drawing more people but drawing at least twice as many PAYING customers.

If you take away the free tickets then you'd have had 1500-1800 people there. Less than half of what a paying WWE show draws.

Stop being silly man. You attempted to pass this off as making them close to the same and now you're speculating and backtracking on the numbers you provided because the links provided information that at least half their tickets were either practically given away or just flat out given away.

TNA has it's good points. But you mire them in BS by making silly attempts at putting them on a pedastal that they're simply not on and not anywhere near getting on. If they're able to survive the Hogan/Bish days then maybe, just maybe, that company will actually get people in who know what they're doing and will one day grow into a company that you can post actual live #'s and not have to speculate at how many of their live audience was only there cause someone gave them tickets for free.

And as for your Huntsville comment...are you serious? Not known for their wrestling fan base? The friggen NWA used to run shows there ALL THE TIME. It's a big time place for wrestling fans.

It helps to not make ignorant statements in some vain attempt to try and save face over being wrong about other things recently. At least look up some facts about these places before you start spouting off junk.

I was citing sources, and he did plan on leaving.

And as usual you are wrong but you've proven, time and again, you're simply too immature to admit it so you're going to continue with this false hood to try and feel better about the fact that you, your silly message board buddies, and your precious PWI were all sucked in by Punk and the work.

It's ok. Millions of 8-12 years old were right in line with you and PWI.

He has said he planned on leaving, his friend said so. Every since news site said so. WWE 4 months ago was booking more pathetic programming than Sesame Street, if you want to believe they planned it for months and than aired the 2nd episode of the storyline on a taped July 4th, your just being fooled.

It was not a long term plan.

Maybe you should find a better Walmart and Flea Market to buy then cause there are NO action figures, of any kind, that are 12 a piece. The highest individual ones in the Walmart where I live are 7.50 and those are all WWE figures. In fact the Walmart here doesn't even carry, to my knowledge anyway, TNA action figures.

I could care less, either way, because the only ones I ever have to buy are John Cena ones for my 10 year old son.

And the only person who is fooled, or proven to be foolish when it comes to wrestling around here has been you. It's actually not even funny, as it was before, how badly off base you are on things. Now it's just sad.

As for the TNA show this last week I watched the majority of it....on youtube. I like watching it there cause I can fast forward through the junk that I really don't want to see (which is more than half the show) and watch only the parts I do want to.

I like the Crimson guy. I think that guy just might have a real future in wrestling and I kinda dig the guy. I don't like that, once again, they've got Angle running around playing the stooge of a heel group. It's a waste of Kurt's talent. He doesn't need to be placed in that BS Immortal junk.

The segment with Sting, Hogan, and Flair....wow. What crap. I mean complete CRAP. From 3 icons of the sport, to go out there, and put that pathetic a segment together? That was just flat out awful!!!!

Sting as the joker thing is not good, at all. I'm sorry but it's just not. It's bad. Really bad. And Flair....good God. That guy is becoming more and more pathetic by the appearance. It's getting harder and harder to remember that at one point he actually was THE MAN.

And Hogan....ugh. You can't even heap enough displeasure on anything Hogan has his name in now. The guy is absolute garbage anymore. He's worthless and it's sad.

And I guess this whole stupid thing is to lead to a Hogan/Sting showdown? YAWN!!!!! That's AWFUL. It will be one of the worst matches in recent memory.

Well Punk did an exceptionally good job of selling that he was leaving so it all worked as they wanted...people believed he really was and he grew more popular so they got their money's worth. I have to admit though I was fooled once years ago...somebody that knew Kerry Von Erich told me that he was wrestling with a prosthetic foot and I said NO WAY...they said oh yea they don't want people to know. Because I was such a mark for Kerry I never believed it. To me his wrestling prior to his motorcycle accident and after was the same. He really did lose his foot though and it lead to his death ultimately..hooked on rx painkillers which made him take his own life. So I've learned to listen to people that know...people that REALLY know. I just was naive. They wanted people to believe Kerry was fine and the same guy post accident and I didn't want to believe he wasn't. Live and learn.

Kerry lost his foot because he tried to walk to early on it after a motorcycle wreck .... he damaged the nerves.

Kerry shot himself because he was about to go to prison.

I have no respect for people like that. Abandoned his young daughter Lacey because he did not want to face his punishment.

He and Kevin were my favorite wrestlers when I was a kid.

I know he was about to be in the pen..he was getting his medication illegally. I know all that but I've always loved him and that entire family and always will. Despite what he did I've always thought in my mind he was not in his right mind so that's how I rationalized it. That family had too much tragedy...I sincerely do not know how Kevin survived all that happened to his brothers. He must have a broken heart about all that to this day. Kerry was always such a sweetheart to his fans. I probably should feel differently about how it all ended but just cannot. Perhaps that is the female in me. I'll always take up for Kerry. But I get it....

I feel very bad for Kevin. How that guy copes, with all that loss, is amazing to me.

I'm shocked, to be quite honest with you, that he doesn't hold some sort of hatred toward the wrestling business as a factor in all that tragedy.

Now I didn't keep up with them enough to know Kerry was about to be headed to prison. I knew about the foot and that he was majorily hooked on his pain killers, and I guess I should have suspected that he got them illegally, but i honestly didn't know that he was or that he was heading for jail time over it.

He was forging prescriptions. And it was a federal deal so he was facing going away for awhile. So he shot himself rather than face all that. It broke my heart and still does..but by no means would anything I feel compare to the heartache of the family and Kevin. Kevin and Kerry were very close. Kevin has been a real man about the whole thing. Can you imagine brother after brother dying and 2 by their own hand? I was a major fan of those guys...some of that Freebird/Von Erich stuff I'll never forget. Fun stuff.
