I understand that you don't need a high priced super star running back to win a championship ..However, you better have a productive running game. This is the last 20 super bowl champions and runner-ups. Both have a lead runner with a 20 year average of 4.5 yards per carry. Only a few outliers with a below 4 ypc ball carrier, and they had great defenses, a stud QB, or both. I don't see any backs on this team that have any chance at 4.5 ypc. Zeke hasn't seen that in 5 years.

I don't see any way the Cowboys go into the season with the current RB corp. Obviously I have no clue what their plan is or if they can bring in a RB capable of 4.5 ypc.

All that being said, it's just as important the Cowboys figure out what their running scheme improvement will be for this year. We all saw the disaster last year was. Watching the RB's getting hit at or behind the LOS and the frequency it happened was so hard to watch.

I can't argue with that. Even when Zeke had something left, he was getting hit after 2 yards and pushing the pile 2-3 yards on most carries. Its about the run game as a whole for sure.
