So...have we done away with the erroneous arguments that our drafting really hasn't improved here in the last several years? Or do people still want to lose that battle as the results continue to mount?

(BTW, I don't agree with the guy on who we ought to start with Romo healthy again).

It would be silly to argue that good drafting isnt important. Heck its essential! Smart free agent acquisitions doesn't necessarily handicap your team. Lets look at the Commanders who have picked up guys like demean Jackson, garçon, Colt McCoy, duke ihenacho, dashon Goldson, Stephen Paea, chris culliver, and most recently josh Norman. These are just a few of their free agent signing over the last 3 years. They won the division last year, and are still competitive this year. They have cap space and don't seem to be handicapped by any of their free agent signings.

I'm not saying they are great, but they have used free agency to fill in key spots and it doesn't seem to have put them back much.

The Cowboys of the 90's did not draft Tony Cassilles, James Washington, John Gesek, Jay Novacek, Thomas Everritt, Ray Horton, Charles Haley, and Isaic Holt.

drafting is important, but as many "try" to think it is, it is not a science. You still need FA, you still need good coaches, you still need a lot of luck, (dont even think some teams havent won the SB without luck) so you really need the stars to align more than much else.

Winning makes a lesser team look good.
