The passing game looked dominant yesterday. It looked dominant in week 17 against the Giants last year as well. The Giants have a terrible secondary and a poor pass rush.

The running game struggled yesterday and that will have to get fixed vs Washington. The Skins don’t have a great secondary but it’s better than the Giants. And their pass rush is pretty good.

The defense looked lost at times yesterday. Blown assignments led to several big plays and there were missed tackles. The Giants have a great offensive line so it’s hard to judge our pass rush. The defense needs to improve.

Overall we looked great but we shouldn’t overreact. The Giants will be lucky to win 6 games and their pass defense will be one of the worst we face all season.

I mentioned in another thread that I like having some cupcakes on the schedule early. PS is a joke so allowing us to fine tune some stuff early will help pay dividends down the road against better talent.

We have the guys to get it done so I think it's fine to overreact a little.

I'm not going to worry about the running game struggling a little. I know we can run the ball and the Giants did too and that's why they gave up so many big plays.

I do worry a little about our run defense. There is no excuse from a talent perspective that we should be getting gashed like that.

Not me, I am going to overreact. J/K.

I understand this, it was at the 1st game, so let's see how they look next week. One thing Garrett does is to keep this team on an even keel after a big win.
not that this is a big win, other than being opening day and against a division rival, but the way they won it with the offense was big.

I think they running game gets back in gear. Zeke had his preseason game snaps yesterday, and did ok. Pollard in his 1st NFL real game, getting to see the actual speed and not practice game speed.

Defense concerns me somewhat, however, let's see how they adjust and look the next game. So I will not overreact to that.

I don't see it as overreacting at all.......we played a less talented opponent and took care of business like it was supposed to be done. Barely squeaking by would have been a major concern. It was a good confidence building game with a new look offense.

Same here temper the reactions from both sides..

the passing offense will NOT look like this every game.. teams will try and adjust and then the Run game will come back into full focus.. if and I mean IF KM can find way to win differently every week, then ill be impressed..one huge game against that Giants D is not something ill be overreacting too, as the defense didnt play well I wont over react to that either.. lets see how we stand after NO and the Rams...so 6games in? we can then have a snapshot on expectations for the TEAM..

No doubt. Dakota had all day to throw and had open receivers all over the field. Like shooting fish in a barrel. Game one showed we can beat a bottom feeder team. Once we start facing real teams will show the true ballers, on the road and under more duress than yesterday. The stats at the end of the year show the real performance of our players. Getting hyped over beating the lowly Gnats is fools gold. Consistency week in and week out is the true test

I was impressed on one play where DAK faked the hand-off to Zeke - Zeke ran to Dak's left but Dak faked the H.O. to the right. TD Jarwin! haha

We smoked a team that should have been smoked, they will get smoked several times this season ...

Bottom line is that Dak looks in tune with his WRs and all receiving options, that fact can not be dismissed, regardless of the opponent in a regular season game.

If I could only take one facet from the game, I would choose that, franchise QBs playing at a high level can win Championships alone.

Im not trying to get carried away here, but Dak finally has an OC that has the ability to get him targets, and Dak finally has talented receiving options that can get open.

Once Zeke shakes off the rust this offense is going to be one of the most dangerous in the league to contend with.

There are others of course, Rams, Philly, if we are talking just our conference, but that's about all that's in our way in the NFC,, Rams and Philly.. and probably NO, but we haven't seen them yet, they play tonight, but go ahead and add them to the list.

This team has to be able to beat...

Rams
Philly
NO

have to be able to beat those teams in order to take it to the Big Dance, Seattle is the outlier.

But then we also played arguably against the best back in the league.

Yeah but his big run just about any RB could've had. 22 ran on us well yesterday too.

CJ Anderson obliterated us.

I'm not giving much credit to the RB talent on this one. He ran well but his big run was good blocking and a bust on our end.

Not concerned with those over reaction, as a fan I have nothing on the line this team went out showed off a lot of weapons on offense and executed their game plan. Clearly there will be much tougher games ahead but one thing does not change and that is the talent of this team. I'm going to enjoy this win and look forward to next weeks game. As long as this team keeps their focus and continues to work and not get caught up in reading their press clippings I think they will do just fine.

Put me down for complete overreacting - I'm on cloud 9

Dak keeps throwing the ball like this teams cannot stack the box on Zeke. Pick your poison!

Other than Miami I think it will be the worst although I’m sure they’ll improve somewhat as the season goes on.

For 11 carries. Take away his 59 yard run and he still had 10 carries for 60 yards. It’s mind boggling the Giants didn’t use him more.

Ranking and records should be thrown out for inter division games. Gonna be tough all the time just glad we got the W and excited for what can be.

This is one of the most important takeaways from yesterdays game, that could factor in for the rest of the season. Seems like the Saints will be the next biggest dangerous team the Cowboys will face. Although the Skins can't be overlooked due to them being a divisional game. But, we will see how the Saints do tonight and see what type of level they will potentially play on when the Cowboys play them.
