THUMPER said:I hope that is a sign of things to come, lots of TDs with no elaborate celebrations afterwards.
Right, he will celebrate when the time is right, we all should realize that.RCowboyFan said:I dont think its due to complete change in attitude by Owens on that TD. He is simply not a total idiot I guess like Bryant, celebrating when you are down. Yes that TD was good, but he knew, they had a very slim chance of winning the game, so no point in trying to celebrate that TD.

I look forward to it even though I don't like EZ celebrations.
Had he scored and made it 17-0 and done one of his EZ celebrations, it would have fired all of the Cowboys players up.
I look forward to watching him this year, that is if DB can get him the ball.
I have seen Herschel Walker say in an interview that he does not like showboating or EZ celebrations, but when MI would do his first down point, or a great EZ celebration, even Herschel would get fired up !!RCowboyFan said:I have to be honest, I never liked TO celebrating, same like Deion. But when Deion was with Cowboys, I did like his dance when he scored. And hate to admit it, I was waiting to see what TO would do if he scored.

WV Cowboy said:We should have thrown to Owens more. Yes.
The Jags had no answer for him, they couldn't stop him. Yeah he was open alot
And any of you athletes that were watching knows what a great catch that was on the TD. That was pretty amazing.
I think he played his position as well or better than anyone else yesterday. Agreed.
We paid him a ton of money, let's get our money's worth by throwing him the ball, ... a lot. Agreed.
I was surprised, but pleased that he didn't celebrate his score, it wasn't the right time. Yeah he looked like he felt the team wasnt gonna win this one. But he never quit. Never pulled a Randy Moss.
If the media and haters will leave him alone, I think he wants to do the right things, I think he wants to be a good teammate, and wants to be a good employee. I believe you are exactly right here. I have felt that has been the case for some time now.

Actually threads are moving pretty fast if you hadn't noticed. And this isn't the first thread praising Owens on his play and demeanor yesterday.WV Cowboy said:Funny how negative threads about Owens are hot all day, but one that is positive is on the 2nd page before lunch.
Sensitive ??WoodysGirl said:Actually threads are moving pretty fast if you hadn't noticed. And this isn't the first thread praising Owens on his play and demeanor yesterday.
Don't be so sensitive.
The sensitive thing was a joke, but the rest was not. I believe Owens has gotten his fair share of props on this board for his play yesterday. No, there may not be 100-post threads giving it up to him, but he's been given his due in quite a few threads.WV Cowboy said:Sensitive ??
OK , I'll work on that, I just think fair is fair.
Sure, he may have jumped too far into the deep end of the pool in the past, but if he is trying to climb back up the ladder, they shouldn't keep putting a foot on his head and shove him back down.
