Tony Romo is now the top rated passer in the NFL with a QB rating of 110.

The Cowboys now rank 3rd in total offense and 3rd in total defense.
They rank 5th in passing offense and 4th in rushing offense.
Thay rank 8th in pass defense and 4th in rushing defense.

The Cowboys rank 3rd in takeaways and are tied for 4th in turnover margin.
Roy Williams is tied for third in interceptions with 5.

The Cowboys are one of three teams in the league that have scored more than 100 points more than they have given up.

Its nice to have a real team again.

Some of these ranks will change after the rest of the team play on Sunday.

Most impressive stat from the Tampa game?

Penalties:

Cowboys - 2/19 yds.

That has to make ol' Tuna feel pretty good (even though I'm sure he'll find a way to dress that down too).

I still do think that these numbers reflect a well balanced team!

I was gonna start a thread about our TO margin with and without Romo.

In Romo's 5.5 games, we've had 13 takeaways and 6 giveaways. This includes his terrible half against NY. That's +7.

In the first 5.5 games, we had 12 takeaways and 11 giveaways. For only a +1 margin.

That's one of the biggest marks of winning teams.

We've finished the season ranked in the top 4 in both categories four times, and have gone to the Super Bowl all four times.

That is a nice stat, and well a very promising one. I dont want to let my hopes go wild just yet!

The team QB rating is now 90.7, which I find amazing. It was only 72.2 before Romo came into the Giants game.

It's odd, isn't it? We've spent the last ten years in banishment, it seems.

I don't really know what to do with myself anymore. I don't have much to complain about in between games. Who is this Romo guy and where did he come from? Seriously?

That was the most impressive stat for me also. As for Bill, I think he downplays everything to try and keep his team grounded, so that they don't make stupid mistakes due to overconfidence.

Yeah, but GROZ says we have no pass rush, and that's all that matters.

Lol, true.

Yesterday we gave up 10 points and only allowed the Bucs over the 50 twice in the entire game and some said the defence was poor yesterday.

That's funny. When saw the 3rd place O and D rankings that's exactly where I thought we were going!

I still would like to see more creative blitzes with 4-5 people all from the same side 0r up the middle ala NE and PITT and SD. better job this year by zimmer in the 3-4 (he was mediocre at best last year)

If he had better fs play this could be the top defense in the league- when is the draft anyway?
