have one of these types of games though I was hoping we would somehow be able to escape it, like we did versus Detroit.
It's just so difficult to string together so many wins in a row.
I am never an advocate of losing just because it had to happen, but I will say the following,
1. We have to remember that Romo is a young QB with really not much game experience. Games like Buffalo and yesterday versus the Eagles are great tutorials for Romo. The reason I say this is because Romo appears to learn from his mistakes. The second time around, he better recognizes exotic coverages, blitz schemes, etc.
Fortunately for us, he learns very quickly as well.
2. Garrett is also a first time OC, and like Romo, Garrett has done a fantastic job for us this season. Garrett, too, has a steep learning curve. He is very bright and will continue to improve his game planning and schemes.
I think the immediate key for us is how we rebound versus the Panthers. We need to put forth a solid team effort from offense, defense, and special teams. The confidence and "mojo" will then soon return.
I'm sure Seattle, for example, who just lost to the Panthers are also kicking themselves. Heck, even Miami finally won a game.
Just one game at a time . . . .
