Prisco has he cowboys 25th and kirwin has them 29th in his power poll I really don't agree with that I hope that's not where they end up .

Kirwin is too low, but Prisco is closer. I see the Cowboys in the 22-25 range.

This team has worts and unknowns, but the offense gives a punchers chance in any game.
Between 18-24 is hard to argue. 29th is crazy

We won't have Romo and be completely bottom of the barrel. We'll most likely be one of the worst 10 teams in football though.

It's an uphill struggle. Couldn't be much more uphill than 29. But the process will get us moving in the right direction for this football team that has the right kind of guys.

Before bashing or praising them I would be curious to know where they ended up with last year's predictions.

The thing is, even with losing Ware, Hatcher and Lee, I just don't see any way the defense is any worse than last year. And we had a chance to go to the playoffs on the last week of the schedule and might have if Romo wasn't hurt.

I would be more surprised if we go 4-12 than if we went 10-6.

But didn't you know that Ware was unstoppable last year and that Lee was healthy all year?

Melton will be as effective this year as Hatcher was last year.

This defense has improved. There is no way they end up dead last again. We lost names that look good on paper. Big whoop.

Truth:

If the defense is as bad as it was last season, they should still win 10 game with the improvements and development of the players on offense. The Cowboys missed the playoffs last season because of their offense.

The defense will be much better though. Somewhere in the 18-24 range. They'll be around ninth in yardage allowed but around 15-18 in points scored upon.

It will equal out to an 11- 5 record!

I think Kirwin is on record as saying Weeden will be the QB for most of the year. Hence the 29th rank.
Prisco just thinks the defense is historically bad again.

these ratings are always fun to go back later in the year and see how completely wrong they were

Weren't we 5-1 in the division last year? Don't the Skins come in like last place every year? Weren't the Skins 3 - 13 last year? Aren't the Skins ushering in an entire new coaching staff/offense? Everyone has a right to their opinion. Just back your opinion up with something credible. None of us know how this will turn out. But we found a way LAST year...with the 3rd worse defense in the history of the NFL...with a ton of injuries...we found ourselves one drive away from making the playoffs...playing with a backup QB. So while we are not Super Bowl bound....we will compete for the NFC East title!

Post game conference. We all have to look in the mirror collectively and individually at the effort we give in the game and on the practice field. We as coaches also are accountable to put these players in the right position to win each and every Sunday. It's a very competitive business and we as a team have to clean up our mistakes and that's on everyone.
Fellas. It's a long season and does not one game make a season. We have a lot of work to do and we're going to run through the tape after Tuesday and get back to our routine so we can get ready for our next opponent.

Plus Skins backup QB is better and more accurate then their starter
