In Cleveland, Quinn says holdout is the right thing to do

Nice of him to show his gratitude to the only team that finally drafted him.

To the only team that drafted him?

Duh.

That's the whole point of draft.

I'm sure you knew what I meant. ;) In case you didn't, a bunch of teams passed him by, finally a team drafts him after being passed over by seemingly everyone, and he shows his gratitude by holding out, and pretending he's a 1st pick.

How was that? :)

That is exactly the right thing to do... stay away from the field, stay away from your teammates, get behind in his progression into the NFL... makes his chance of starting even less likely...

and better, yet... makes the chances of the Boys getting a higher pick even more likely... good job, man... right choice...

I sure as heck don't get the logic of draft picks who fell thinking that they should get paid as if they didn't.

I'm so glad we didn't draft this guy. Image him trying to pull this kind of stuff with Jerry Jones.

People dare compare him to Jamarcus Russell? I mean Russell is the number 1 pick for christ's sake, he deserves big time money... This bum was lucky that Cleveland wanted him enough to fork over a '08 first round pick to Dallas in exchange for his draft rights.

Does anyone understand what would would happen to the whole drafting and signing process if everyone who was drafted demanded a contract based on where they believe they should of been drafted/what they think they are worth?
Browns need to hold their ground and force this guy into next year's draft if they have to where he would be lucky to go in the 2nd round.

Quinn appears to say all the right things for all the wrong reasons. I doubt it's creating any leverage though.

Earth to Brady: your agent is in for the percentage. He may be a tough negotiator, but he won't be imparting any of that toughness should you ever find the field and have a couple of defensive players breathing down your neck on successive plays. That's something you'll have to deal with yourself. Maybe you ought to talk to Tim Couch about how things don't always turn out like you think they should.

At least Condon is smart enough to keep the majority of his comments directed towards the team.

It wouldn't. He wouldn't even try with us. The one place no player is bigger than the franchise, is here. In Cleveland, quite simply, he is because he can. Jim Brown aside, the Cleveland Browns have no traditon and no pop culture/celebrity appeal (which is very important in 2007 incase anybody was wondering). A player there can only be as big as his play and pretty much expect to be forgotten unless he's literally "great", which is not the case in Dallas. We have the "incentives" that tender big egos it just seems. And even better, we have an atmosphere (insert any coach) that caters to the ability for said egos to have room to grow, never stiffling them and letting them be who they really are (look @ Irvin, Dieon & TO for recent examples).

browns fans are gonna boo him like crazy when(if) he finally gets on the field

I'll bet they won't.....I'm sure that some of them even think that the Browns should sign him now as the management is keeping the Browns from taking a step forward.

However, I am sure that they will begin booing him when, not if, he starts sucking.

The guy is just plain over-rated....most of all by himself.
