So how long do you give Bledsoe?

I really don't think that can be answered because it just depends on what Bledsoe does from this point forward.

Frankly, I believe he will pull it together enough to hold on to his job, but I don't necessarily think that's a certainty.

If he were to have 2-3 more games where he plays this poorly then I could see a change being made, but they would have to be be pretty bad to make a move that quickly.

I would think the more likely scenario, if a change happens this year at all, would be that Bledsoe is inconsistent, maybe a little up and down, and the offense struggles to maintain a steady level of play over a period of time. If that's the case then maybe mid season or so would be appropriate.

But all of this is based on "IF's" - it's just too early to know how Bledsoe is going to fare.

I will say this though, regardless of what happens this year, I think Romo will be given a legitimate shot at earning the starting spot next year.

I don't know. Bledsoe just doesn't have that certain something I look for in QB's. Can't quite put my finger on it.

It's leadership and moxie.

He was replaced by Brady only because of injury and we can look back and see just how smart Buffalo was in replacing him.

Look at his career statistics, both passing and in the win column .....

The Pats could have kept Bledsoe and gave him his job back in '02, but chose to trade him instead...... to a division foe of all things. That's how good they felt about him. Hey, Phil Simms got his job back after Hostetler won the superbowl didn't he. Brady's overall numbers in 2001 were rather pedestrian, he didn't turn into Montana overnight, but the Patriots saw a chance to snooker a first round pick out of a divisional opponent. They're probably still laughing about that one. Hey, they even go to the Jets site and laugh at them about how much Pennington makes even though he's not half the qb that Brady is, and they're probably laughing at Bill for signing Bledsoe last year.

WE LOST TO A GOOD TEAM...

Yes Bledsoe played poorly, but I doubt he will do it again. The weather was bad and it snowballed on us. Jax was 12-4 last year, they are good. The D is the real problem. After this game our Offense is ranked 3rd and our D 13th.

Good offense, we had just 10 points until late in the 4th quarter. We were down 24-10 to a team that's known for having a sluggish offense. Leftwich doesn't have near the experience as Bledsoe or the weapons either.
