In future:Are the players in this Defense not mostly 4-3 minded?

This team hasnt been good defensively since we switched to 3-4.Im not taking coaches into consideration cause we went thru a handful and still sucked.I think its time to go back to where the strengths of the individual players are.Ironically this is what Wade preached when he came here.He said he would play to players strengths.Well Ware,Ellis,Spencer,Spears,Canty,Tank,James,Carp,Burnett,RW38,Newman,Henry,Jenkins,Scandrick,
and most of them are 4-3 players their whole careers till Parcells and wades changing.last time we had a good Defense was 4-3 u have to admit this.Is 4-3 easier to learn?

Its not like switching to a 4-3 is going to "magically" change everything.

Does the Detroit game under Parcells mean anything?

No but it seems thats what our players are meant to play cause its simpler.maybe Wades Defense is too confusing.lol.

DeMarcus Ware is the best 3-4 defensive player in the NFL. Phillips is using him right. In my opinion, the 3-4 is the absolute best way to use DeMarcus Ware. You don't want to wear him down in a 4-3 and shorten his career. He is a hybrid player. He recorded a sack when he lined up over the middle and moved to the right edge before the snap. There he was matched up with the TE and beat him for a sack.

Ware is playing like a 4-3 end, he takes on offensive tackles almost every play either stopping the run or rushing the passer. I don't think switching to4-3 would change much to anything he is doing

4-3 aint saving this teams problems.

We aint losing because of an X's and O's problem.

We are losing because of a Focus and Enthusiasm problem.

I tell you what, too. I saw someone else post this on here last night in a thread.

There is no way I would change to 4-3, so some under performing players can "fit".

It they can't play in Phillips' 3-4, which is a one gap scheme, why would they play any better in a 4-3?

The 3-4 allows Ware to be freed up, and it can make his career longer. Ware can flat out do it all. He can play the run, rush, and cover. Why stifle him by putting his hand on the ground and rushing him against a 320+ pound LT all day?

No Ferguson in the middle of this DLine means that I don't know what they're running out there, because I think you need a big NT, and we have none of those.

i still dont see how the base defense effects the secondary...they either man it up or zone it out...

So you're saying that we should not switch simply because of Ware? That makes no sense.
