Ummm, why don't they mention the guys name in the entire article? Anyone know who they are talking about?

Last Wednesday, Tony Sparano, the offensive line coach from the Dallas Cowboys came down to Miami to have dinner and conduct a light workout the next morning.

I thought it went really well. He seemed to be a guy that was real easy to play for and that could teach me a lot of football. He asked me many questions about my family, such as what I like to do for fun, and what kind of player I see myself becoming, and so on.

I asked him some questions about the Cowboys and his style of teaching and also what to expect when I report, things of that nature.

The next morning he took me through about five to six offensive line drills as well as a few agility drills. These workouts aren't so much to judge football ability but rather to see how "coachable" you are.

"Coachable" essentially means how well you take what coaches tell you and how fast you're able to process it into results.

I take a lot of pride into being coachable and not being difficult to deal with. I have found during these workouts where coaches come down, that they will ask you to do something that seems real weird just to see how you react to it and how well you put it into action.

After it was all over I was excited about the prospect of becoming a Cowboy.

Not that I needed too much convincing before, but getting to come back home, play on a real contender your first year out, a new stadium on the way, and not to mention a great fan base makes it such an appealing place. I think I would do my first back flip of my life if they call my name on draft day.

The rest of my time outside of keeping in shape and attending the one class I have to finish for my second major is spent mostly in limbo, so to speak.

After my pro day ended, I knew it was going to be an excruciating six weeks to the draft and I was right. You do all you can to take your mind of it but it is hard not to think about where you will be living in three months.

I have actually used the time to some good. I've caught up on my TV watching but most of all spent a lot of time hanging out with so many friends. It's amazing how many great people you meet at college and how the realization of moving in a couple of months will motivate you to spend every second enjoying this place and the people that have made it so special.

Although I am sure it is inevitable that I will lose touch with many of the people I hang out with here, there are definitely a few whom I am sure I will talk to throughout my life and will always stay in touch with.

I am sure that all of you who have gone to college understand and agree with what I am saying, I just cant believe it is finally here and I sincerely hope that I never lose touch with certain people.

I have four visits set up so far in April which will keep me busy until the draft. I am going to San Diego, New York for the Jets, Detroit, and to the Dolphins.

My agent told me even if they don't bring you in for a visit it doesn't mean they are not interested but rather they received all the answers they needed from me at an earlier time.

The teams are allowed to bring in 15 guys so you can't just bring in all the guys you want. The teams will carefully pick the guys they bring in and have them in for a certain purpose.

The way I look at it is the more visits I am on the more chances I have to impress someone enough into taking me.

Not that I am going to trick them, but the more comfortable they feel with me, the easier I am sure it will be to take me.

Unless the writer has changed location to Miami & changed position coach to prevent identificaiton, it would indeed seem OT Eric Winston is the player we interested in. Does anyone know where he's from? He (Winston?) used the phrase "going home" when talking about Dallas Cowboys.

Have followed many mock drafts & I think Winston has fallen into the 2nd round, but he probably still goes before we use our 49th pick. Wonder if we also having our OL coach check other OTs (one on one) who might be available in 2nd round. Sounds like we thinking OLB, OT, FS with our first day picks--unless we able to add an additional first day selection.

I think its all about who falls to us. Plus if we can manage to trade down, we may pick up a second. This may be a target.
