Do you work for the ticket?

I personally was pleased with Ellis's play last night. He has been playing more loosely the more he has played at OLB. I expect this will continue the next few games. That he was flexible enough to change position this season deserves respect. That he is starting to play well even more so.

Besides the love Romo owes his O line tomorrow I expect he will be very respectful of how many short fields the D gave him. If they can keep it up Romo's rookie season will be a lot easier on him.

Ellis was not awful tonight, but he does look AWFUL in pass coverage..

I'm actually quite surprised that teams haven't taken advantage of him more.

I remember against NYG, Barber was sent in motion and he lined up as a WR. Ellis went out to go cover him. I can honestly tell you I was scared as hell watching Ellis line up wide across from Barber. Thankfully Eli threw elsewhere, but we have to make sure that NEVER happens. Where Ellis is left in man coverage vs. a fast TE or a RB.

I know what the original poster was trying to say, he just used the wrong words..

Ellis gets nothing but love for me this week. Sorry to brighten your day.

I personally hate it when an OLB has two sacks and creates fumbles...but thats just me.

This might be the weakest thread in history.

and he has had two sacks and two other forced fumbles (one in each of the last two games) wiped out by lousy officiating...one wasnt reviewed against Houston (but should have been) and the other was reviewed and inexplicably overturned

Ellis' problems are when he has to cover in space, and other than a few plays this yr they've done a good job hiding him when he has had to do it

yeah, that would make me nervous too, but he must have help or be doing something right or eli would have thrown picked on him. I cant beleive that Eli wouldnt notice Tiki wide with a DE/LB on him, so why didnt he throw there ?

I'll tell ya what i been wondering. how come when the RB swings out for a pass, i see Bradie run over to make the tackle near the sideline but either he reacts a bit late or he takes a bad angle cause the other team always gets a first down as the rb gets around the corner.

Is that even Bradie's responsibility ? it doesnt seem like it would be, but i have seen it many times and its always that he is the only player in the area.

I thought Ellis was awful tonite. The guy is just not suited to play OLB. Yea he had 2 sacks and the forced fumble but hes just a liability. If im game planning im running wide at him and putting him in a position that he has to cover somebody. He is just not athletic enough to play OLB. Get burnett or carp in there and move him to the nickel.

Bring Ellis in on obvious passing downs.
