I think many are completely selling Williams short. I’ve see. A few that have glossed right over him as an immediate impact player.

The knock overal seems to be we added talent but long term guys not immediate impact types.

I think LVE may take time to develop into his full potential, but I think he will contribute immediately. Same for Gallup, although he may not be a starter right away. Williams likely will start from day 1. Schultz will like be in the mix from day 1.

I don’t see how LVE and Williams aren’t immediate impact types. Same for Gallup actually.

LVE and Williams are going to be day 1 starters, unless something strange or injury happens.

Gallup is one of the most pro ready receivers in the draft and will see significant snaps.

What do they expect “immediate” impact beyond round 3?

I don’t get it.

Isn't that due to the lack of depth on the team? LB is really thin. LG is non existant. Swaim and Gathers are the top two TEs, and Williams and Beasley are the only returning starters at WR. I mean, LVE and Williams HAVE to be immediate impact players or the team will be in big trouble.

I dont know much about Oline play but if Williams has never played Guard in his life, maybe he wont be as quick to pick it up as Zack Martin. Plus he needs to put on size and strength. He slimmed down under 300lbs.

You’re right that they do have to. But I really dont see anything about their games that doesn’t make them possible “immediate impact players”. They both have the requisite talent to start in the league. I mean you never know with rookies, but the pundits don’t really know with anyone else’s rookies either

I'll go out on a limb and suggest that's why the Cowboys drafted them.

Every team drafts to fill holes. Nobody is using their high picks on the positions that are already well covered.
