In the 2012 NFL draft we traded from 14 to 6 to get Claiborne. Fletcher Cox went 12th

Shoud've could have. What's the point? Get over it. There's always misses in the draft. He got a pick-six last weekend.

They were most likely taking Brockers if they didn't trade up.

We shoulda taken cox

Claiborne was universally considered the best defensive player in that draft

The only screw-up by the Cowboys was not investigating his personality and mental makeup before the draft. They might still have taken him, but nonetheless it was shortsighted.

I'm apart of the universe and I wanted cox and thought Claiborne didn't look special and they were chasing the ghost of Patrick Peterson .

And then they whiffed by not taking the other lsu db the next year. Tyrann

Personally I'm more upset about not getting Bobby Wagner (we said if not for Mo we'd have taken Brockers in rd 1 and Wagner in 2) who'd look really good in a Cowboys uniform right now
