We have been told over and over again by the players, owners and the media, football is a business FIRST ! ! ! !
Fans ( short for fanatics ) do NOT treat football as a business but a passion.
So when their team loses, it is treated as a national disaster within their life. If they only switched their jerseys, sat in a different position or some other superstitition, their team could have won.
When they win, they are so so proud, like they had anything to do with it.
Players/Owners and media care about the money....period. They can buy their own ring but its the financial security they strive to get. If winning happens after they get their "security", it is a nice bonus that comes with commercials, stardom and maybe even a future within the media.
