In Vegas comparing odds - seem to think Dallas getting better?

Wynn Odds:

Open odds 9/1 to win Superbowl - updated to 8/1 recently (same as Pitts)
2nd favourite behind New England at 9/2

Harrah's Futures at 9 Vegas Casino's/Hotels

Opened 12-1, now 4/1 for Superbowl, 2/1 NFC championship. Pitts, New York Phili and New England slightly higher favourites

Mirage Odds:

Opened 12/1 now 8/1 same as New York Indi and Pitts, with New England favourites at 3/1 (updated May 25th)

Down here hitting Vegas and checking into the odds. Funny how different they are from casino to casino, but one trend is we are considered top 5 in NFL via odds and top3 (usually top 2) to win NFC. Now this could be because tons of people like to bet Dallas and it is a good money maker for bookies, but...

interesting that the odds makers don't seem to make this as big a deal as the sporting news programs.

Lines are not based on Vegas' predictions, they're based on perceived public perception. Everyone always confuses it. That goes for any lines made by Vegas.. it isn't a prediction at all.

It's also influenced by how much money is placed on a team. Based on this early movement, I'd say thet there are too many Cowboys fans out who have the itch to gamble and bet with their hearts.

Do not show this to Wade Phillips. He will tell the team that they are allready in the Super Bowl, because Vegas says so.

Maybe the odds makers realize that this will be a much improved TEAM over last years bunch and out ST's (something that has been hurting us for a long time) should be much improved. I think this team is going to suprise a lot of people this year. I also think that our players will come out with a large chip on their shoulders after the collapse last year. We have a lot of hard working players with pride on this team - Witten, Ware, Barber, Newman, Ratliff, Romo, Columbo, etc....
