He was coming off an injury or injuries when the Cowboys signed him. I think the Seahawks were going to put him on the PS, but Dallas claimed him.

Edwards was cut to put Keith Smith on the active roster for 1 game because they needed more LB depth with McClain and Durant out. Smith was cut immediately after the game and Edwards was re-signed.
